I am so excited to share a new (at least new to me) nail polish brand with you. sheswai Beauty has certainly impressed me with my first exploration into the line with the shade Winesnob. I am in love with the packaging. The sheswai logo is really beautiful embossed on the bottle in gold. The wooden handle is something totally unique and it really ads that special touch. Plus I know that next time I go to find this polish it will be super easy to spot. ;-)
sheswai lacquer is FREE of formaldehyde, toluene, and dbp’s, making it less toxic.
And our caps are made from sustainably harvested wood, grown on family owned tree farms.
sheswai is the first nail polish in the beauty industry to use a custom wood turned cap, thereby reducing the use of plastic.
With sheswai lacquer we set out to create a collection of nail color that is chic and playful, with a naturally glamorous feel.
From soft & sheer, bold & bright, or dark & lovely, we trust there is a sheswai color for everyone.
sheswai lacquer is lovingly made in the USA.
Winesnob is a deep blackened wine and a new release for Fall 2012. The perfect shade for fall. How perfect for fall is this shade? Well so perfect that my friend (who is not "into makeup" by the way) saw it and said it was exactly what she'd been looking for. She picked it up the next day so she could wear it for her Thanksgiving celebration.
Winesnob impressed me with how evenly it applied with the first coat. A second coat is still required to ensure full, even opacity but the formula really is outstanding. It applied really nicely and the wear time was great. I am always concerned wearing super dark colours because on my thin, weak nails chipping is usually inevitable within a day. Winesnob managed to refrain from chipping noticeably on my nails for a couple days which for me is exceptional. I imagine if you had strong nails you would experience several days of chip free wear. The finish is very shiny even without a topcoat. The pics below do have Poshe topcoat on though.
I must apologize for the condition of my nails...again. I haven't been taking care of my cuticles at all and they are in a sad state.
