I have been eagerly, and anxiously, awaiting the release of the Limited Edition Fall shades of Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadows. I was beginning to think we weren't going to be blessed with their release in Canada until I spotted the brand new display at Shoppers Drug Mart last Thursday. I grabbed all four LE shades (the only four left in the display) and ran to the checkout.

The four limited edition neutrals are 100 Barely Beige, 300, Gold Shimmer, 400 Rich Mahogany, and 200 Mossy Green. I really think Maybelline should make these permanent because they are essential ,neutral shades that everyone needs in their collections!

All four of these new releases of Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow applies beautifully. They are pigmented yet have a somewhat light texture for a cream. They blend out really well and I was even able to achieve a complete eye look using all four. Applied more heavily they achieve an amazing effect all on their own. If you wish to blend them out for a softer effect they will perform best with a powder eyeshadow on top to achieve a more even result because when blended out significantly they start to look a bit patchy. They even work great as a liner. I wore Mossy Green heavily as a liner the other day and it looked amazing.

These new shade offerings from Maybelline of the Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadows for Fall 2012 should not be missed. They are a full range of exceptional bases for an endless amount of looks. I used Rich Mahogany as a base under the Le Metier de Beaute Smoldering Embarkment Eye Kaleidoscope yesterday and it made one of my all time favourite eye looks even more exceptional!
