A couple of weeks ago I was overcome by the sudden need to rectify the fact that I hadn't a single teal cosmetic product in my arsenal. The overwhelming urge to find something teal led me to the Marcelle Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Teal. I VERY RARELY ever buy products in person. I don't have any decent shopping within an hour of me and even when I do embark a couple hours away to Toronto on a shopping adventure I rarely end up bringing anything home with me. I truly seem to thrive on online shopping. This day however I went out on my lunch to the local drugstore on the hunt for a good quality teal eyeshadow or eyeliner. I focused solely on the higher quality brands and was quickly drawn to this beautiful hidden gem at the Marcelle display. It's a deep teal. It's a very wearable shade that was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a pop of teal that wouldn't be too scary and bright or over the top.

The Marcelle Liquid Eyeliner Pen has a wonderful applicator. The is soft but firm and can apply a very fine line with the tip or be laid more flat for a thicker line. The ink flows out seamlessly. Now a word of warning. This shade (and I would imagine the Olive shade as well) stains. I had no issue with staining on my lash line though as I made sure to lay down a barrier of primer. I happened to use the NARS Smudge Proof primer as well as MAC Paint Pot in Painterly. I also applied all of my eyeshadow prior to lining my eyes as the last step so there was a lot standing in the way of this product staining my skin. If you apply this to bare skin though it will stain... A LOT. I don't think it's really a fault of the product though. I believe it has something to do with green dye/colouring in cosmetics. I have sampled many different green and teal variations of liquid liners including Make Up For Ever and Stila and they all stained the skin where as every other shade in the spectrum left nothing behind.

You can see on my arm swatch applied over MAC Painterly Paint Pot that the liner bled a lot but on my lids applied over the rest of my eye makeup it did not bleed or travel at all.

These pics were taken after I had the liner on for probably about 6 hours and I had even had a glorious 2 hour nap with my daughter. You can see my mascara has smudged a bit under my eye but the liner is still perfect with the exception of near my inner eye where I must have rubbed it a bit. This liner is not waterproof though so iron clad wear is not what I would expect. It held up much better to my nap then I would have anticipated.

The Marcelle Liquid Eye Liner Pen is also available in Very Black, Chocolat and Olive.
