The Importance of Shaping and Filling Your Eye Brows

I know you have all probably heard this before, but the importance of your brows on the outcome of your overall look is really paramount. They really do "frame the face". Until I found my holy grail brow combo (which I will review soon) I never thought it was possible to have nicely shaped brows. I have very sparse brows without much of an arch to speak of. I always envied the beautifully shaped brows I would see on others and think it was hopeless. We it's not! You just have to find what works for you. I actually get complimented on my brows now which still blows me away every time. I don't go to have my eye brows waxed, threaded or shaped in any way because I really don't have anything to shape. I really wish I did. I only have a few stray hairs I pluck every now and again as I notice them. I have to do a lot of filling and shaping and create the brow I want. Unfortunately the day I took these pics wasn't my "best" day, but you get the idea.

If you haven't already found an eye brow "technician" that you love I suggest you try. If you see someone that has brows you envy then give them a compliment and maybe they'll be approachable enough for you to inquire where they have theirs done. Try and get recommendations for someone that others you know are happy with and give them a shot. If that doesn't work you can always do it yourself at home. I would suggest outlining the shape you want to go for and then gradually pluck away anything outside of your goal shape. Attacking your brows for the first time with DIY wax may not be the best approach for a beginner. I won't pretend to be an "expert" and instruct you myself because there are a lot of great resources out there on obtaining your best brow shape. There is a great diagram at the end of this post from the Anastasia website. They have great products for brows and it's the brand where I finally found my holy grail product from after years of searching. You can see I have A LOT of filling to do so having the right product for me is very important. I found the line at Sephora.
