I only have one friend in my "real life" who knows I have a blog. She has offered to let me take pictures and swatches of any of her pristine, pretty new purchases before she even touches them! She knows I'm trying to cut back on my spending and wants to help me out. How awesome is she?! I feel bad that I have spurned this burgeoning new high end makeup addiction in her but what's a girl to do? I'm here to create lemmings!
So her newest acquisition is one of the new Guerlain quads. I have been holding strong in my resistance not to cave on these until I build up enough Shoppers Optimum Points to splurge on them. I'm so happy to have the chance to finally play with one! She chose the Les Cuirs 07 palette which is full of neutrals. She is a bit of a neutral junkie but don't worry...I'll work on that!
All the shades in this palette have a beautiful shimmery satin finish. Not glittery at all other than the darkest shade which has the tiniest amount of larger shimmer particles. There is a great base/highlight beige shade, a warm tan, a cooler brown verging on taupe and a rich, warm dark brown. They are all great shades for a subtle, neutral, every day look. The pigmentation was average to good. There isn't really much wow factor to this palette but sometimes you are just looking for a great, no-brainer coordination of colours that you know will get you the polished look you want.
