Another mid season collection release recently by Giorgio Armani Beauty is the Skin Lacquers collection. The collection includes 6 new Rouge d'Armani Sheer lipsticks and 6 new Gloss d'Armani. I have the two lightest shades of Gloss d'Armani to share with you; 513 Roseperla and 514 Petal.
For sheer coverage. The Skin Lacquers collection captures a nude chromatic palette to enhance lips and cheeks. An innovative approach to soft color that fuses a shine varnish with lip tone pigments bringing natural color to perfection. Inspired by the l acquered perfection of a flawless porcelain doll.
Benefits: Exceptionally fine pearl particles, blended in a translucent base, wraps the lips in a smooth, supple enamel with high shine reflecting pearls in suspension. The natural lip tone is enhanced and perfected with the dewy color of the gloss.
Tip: The gloss can also be used on the eyelids to create a transparent, wet eye lacquer. Try a pale baby pink layered over a black cut taupy beige, as seen on the Armani Privé fashion show this season.
To enhance soft, porcelain skin tones, try:
- Gloss d’Armani #517 in Hot
- Gloss d’Armani #515 in Vintage
- Gloss d’Armani #516 in Coral
To enhance summer tanned skin, try:
- Gloss d’Armani #518 in Rosewood
- Gloss d’Armani #513 in Roseperla
- Gloss d’Armani #514 in Petal
513 Roseperla is a sheer pale beige a subtle pink tone and frosty shimmer. 514 Petal is a sheer pale pink with a fine opalescent pink glow. Both glosses are quite sheer and don't offer much colour but they do provide a lovely finish to the lips. Perfect for a natural look or to add the desired effect on top of a lipstick.

One thing that stood out to me with these Gloss d'Armani is that they did not do the usually "setting" that I'm used to with the Gloss d'Armani formula. I am not sure if that is true of all 6 new shades but 513 and 514 wore with a slightly cushy, moisturizing feel. They did not last quite as long as the Gloss d'Armani's from the Summer Bronze collection for instance. This is however great news for those that don't care for the slightly tacky feel the Gloss d'Armani glosses get once they set. I quite like both versions. They just happen to feel like different formulas to me.
