Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air - Swatches and Review

My ridiculously large Deborah Lippmann haul finally arrived today!! After 3 weeks of anticipation I was so anxious to play! I have to say I'm VERY impressed so far. Glitter in the Air is a soft, milky blue with both regular and hex glitter in pink and blue. I know some people complained about Glitter in the Air not having enough glitter but it was the randomness of the sparse glitter and hex that I was so anxious to play with. I did a very rushed manicure and next time I definitely plan on looking at the brush to make sure I've actually got some glitter on there. Silly me I didn't think of that until after I was done and managed to have two whole fingers void of the beautiful blue hex glitter. One was even void of both the pink and blue hex! Oops! That is why these are some awkward shots of my right hand clumsily taken with my left ;-)

I also picked up the Deborah Lippmann Rehydrate Base Coat and the Addicted to Speed Top Coat which were used in this manicure as well. I'm thrilled with both. I started with the base coat which dried quickly and was a breeze to apply. I then put on one coat of Before He Cheats because I thought I should have some sort of base colour although now I doubt it was necessary. For a sheer pink it applied very evenly with just one coat. I then applied 3 coats of Glitter in the Air. As I said this was a very rushed manicure while I was getting the kids dinner and I had zero issues. I didn't even wait between any of the coats. I then finished it off with the Addicted to Speed top coat and all 6 coats were dry in a flash! Almost immediately I started helping the kids with stuff etc. and not a smudge, dent, mark to be seen. I think I see a Deborah Lippmann addiction in my future!

Stay tuned for more reviews on the rest of my Deborah Lippmann adventure.
