I had been wanting to try the Annabelle Smudge Paints for a while. I had heard great things from other Canadian bloggers about them. Imagine my delight when one arrived in my last Glymm Box! The shade I received is Skyline which is a rich indigo. Probably the last shade I would have selected for myself due to my blue eyes but a great way to try the product nonetheless.
The Smudge Paints come with their own brush ingeniously hidden in the cap. I neglected to take a photo of it but here is a stock photo depicting this handy tool. You pull the top out of the cap, flip it around so the brush is exposed and insert it back in the base of the cap:
The shade Skyline is really beautiful. It has a really fine shimmer that give it a subtle glow as opposed to any sparkle. The colour is deep yet bright enough to garner some attention. The texture of the SmudgePaints is a creamy gel that is slightly mousse like. This made it a tiny bit difficult to get and even opaque layer but I have a feeling that using a different brush rather than the one included may make an improvement on how this product applies. Overall I'm really happy with it. It functions well as a liner and also smudges out great for a smoky look. I can't wait to try out some of the other colours.
