I took a chance ordering this orange…yes orange lipstick. This is my first Dior Addict lipstick and I wanted something a little different. I knew the formula was sheer and I didn’t have a shade anything like this in my collection so Dior Addict Lipstick in 545 Fire was my choice. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! I hope all the Dior Addict lipsticks have a formula just like this because it’s perfect. This is what I wanted the Chanel Rouge Coco Shines to be. Sheer, light on the lips, without feeling too creamy. I can apply it without a mirror and it last fairly well considering the sheer formula. It wears off evenly and leaves a bit of a stain. I find the Rouge Coco Shines have too much of a creamy slip to them for my liking and I don’t like how they wear off. I love the weightless feel of the Dior Addict in Fire. I’m also incredibly pleased with the Laura Mercier Gel lip color but more on that later
The only thing that would hold me back from purchasing another Dior Addict lipstick is the ridiculous packaging. I know it is supposed to look luxurious but frankly I find it over the top, too large and just plain gaudy.
Fire is orange. There is no other way to describe it. It doesn’t have any visible shimmer but has a very glossy shine. It is sheer enough to let your natural lip colour tone down the orange to a beautiful shade. I didn’t have full sun when I took these so it isn’t capturing just how almost neon orange this lipstick is.

I thought I’d pull out the Chanel Summer 2011 collection Les 4 Ombres quad Lilium out and give it a second chance. I’d only wore it once when I first received and reviewed the summer collection here.
I do like the shades in this palette but I just don’t find they do much for me. The green is gorgeous but I do have a lot of Chanel quads with blackened greens as well as the gorgeous Le Metier de Beaute Kaleidoscope. The taupe shade is pretty but I seem to be the black sheep when it comes to taupe. They just don’t seem to work for me? I don’t know what the problem is. I think I may end up parting with this quad. I guess we’ll see.

I love Chanel shadows because the last very well for me. I also love using the darkest shade in the quad wet to line. Here is how my eyes looked after 12 hours. My brows have wore off a lot (I think I was rubbing them a bit) but my eyeshadow still looks almost exactly the same as it did when I left the house 12 hours earlier.
