Lancome Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner in Azure ~ Photos, Swatches, and Review

I have heard great things about the Lancome Artliner but this is actually my first experience with them. The new shade, Azure, that is being released this May, couldn’t be a more beautiful introduction to the product.

Lancome Artliners are a liquid liner with a very fine, flexible sponge tip. The formula is very fluid and applies smoothly without tugging at the delicate eye area at all. I was also happy to say that I didn’t experience the tightening that I often experience with these types of liquid eyeliners.

I am not sure about the other shades in the lineup but Azure offers a fairly sheer amount of pigment with one swipe. If you want a full opaque line you will need to do some layering. It is very easy to get the line built up to an absolutely stunning, shimmering, rich, deep yet bright shade of blue.

Annabelle Roll-On Eyeshadow + Liner in Blue Eyes ~ Photos, Swatches, and Review

Annabelle Roll-On Eyeshadow + Liner in Blue Eyes

Annabelle just released this really neat product; the Roll-On Eyeshadow + Liner. On one end you have a liquid liner with brush applicator and on the other a loose shadow with rollerball applicator. There are four colour combinations. One each for blue, brown, green, and hazel eyes. I say just go for which ever colours you like!

The colours are super pretty. The loose eyeshadow is a sparkling silver with multidimensional shimmer. The liquid liner is a metallic muted blue. Not quite navy.

Unfortunately the liner portion of this product did not work out for me. I have only tried the Blue Eyes version so I can’t speak to the formula on the other 3 shades. The applicator is great and allows for a very precise application. I ran into trouble though with getting a solid line. It seemed like the brush just wanted to cut through the liner so even going back over the line multiple times to build it up it would leave brush strokes. When the liner dried it tightened and contracted actually puckering up my eyelids. Not attractive. Now I have quite loose skin on my eyelid so if you have young, firm eyelids this liner may work perfectly. The liner started flaking after several hours.

The loose eyeshadow is really quite lovely. I find it best to use a brush or finger to even it out after laying it down on your lids with the roller-ball applicator. It lasted well through the day and really brightened up my eyes.

Maybelline Eye Studio Master Duo 2-In-1 Glossy Liquid Liner in Black Lacquer ~ Photos, Swatches, and Review

Maybelline Eye Studio Master Duo 2-In-1 Glossy Liquid Liner in Black Lacquer

The new 2-In-1 Glossy Liquid Liner from Maybelline comes in six shades:

  • Black Lacquer
  • Violet Luster
  • Glossy Teal
  • Polished Green
  • Navy Gleam
  • Bronzed Shimmer

It has an innovative tip with a flat disc on the end. You can use the flat, wide, disc end for a bolder line, or use the narrow side of the disc tip for a thinner line. It really is a neat concept. The only issue I have with it is that you can’t get a super fine, precise line. I have hooded lids and like to keep my lines super thin and tight to my lash line to preserve lid space. It is also a little trickier to do a thin, flicked out wing with this applicator than with other methods.

The formula is nice and opaque in one swipe and very glossy. It has great lasting power as well.
