Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder in Lit Review

Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body in Lit ($30 US/$35 CAD) is described as a soft bronze shimmer with golden bronze sparkle. It comes in a beautiful sparkling bronze box. I love this packaging! It is so pretty, albeit a little bulky. The domed powder is on the top level with a mirror on the inside of the lid. The lower compartment hides a mini brush. Everything secures with magnetic closures. The powder has a dry feel but has a good level of pigmentation and applies smoothly. It is

Tarte Life of the Party Collector’s Makeup Case Review, Photos, Swatches

The Tarte Life of the Party Collector's Makeup Case ($59 US/$71 CAD) is a neutral lovers paradise. I think it is so amazing to find a holiday eyeshadow palette that offers so many eyeshadows that are all neutral and incredibly easy to wear. Not everyone is comfortable wearing bold, bright, or fun colours and this set is perfect for the beauty lover who loves to have an incredible array of neutral and wearable shades at their disposal. The way this makeup case is organized is really unique as well. Once you zip open the

Guerlain Météorites Perle des Neiges Holiday 2015 Review

The Guerlain Météorites Perle des Neiges ($80 US/$89 CAD), otherwise known as the Guerlain Météorites Flocons Enchantés (Enchanted Snowflakes), are the star product in the Guerlain Neiges et Merveilles Holiday 2015 Collection, and I believe one of the star Holiday 2015 beauty product releases overall. This newest edition of Guerlain's iconic and beloved Météorites comes in the most stunning packaging I have ever seen released for the illuminating pearls. The packaging is shaped like a pearly white snowball and the lid is inlaid

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Champagne Glow Palette Review | This is a MUST HAVE!

So I never did get around to writing a review, but I did get swallowed up in the Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop hype. I thought it looked absolutely beautiful, from what I was seeing online, but I thought "well, it's probably a bit too warm and dark for me so I don't need it". It isn't very often I find myself in a Sephora (the nearest on is 1.5 hours away) but about a month ago popped in one when I was in the city for a media event and right at the entrance was Champagne Pop on display. It was stunning! Of course I had to swatch it.

NARS Steven Klein Fatascene Holiday 2015 Collection Dual-Intensity Blush in Vengeful Review

The NARS Steven Klein Fantascene Holiday 2015 Collection is probably my favorite seasonal release that NARS has had in recent years. The products in the collection are all limited editon and come in special Steven Klein for NARS packaging. When I first looked at the NARS Steven Klein Dual-Intensity Blush in Vengeful ($ CAD) I never thought it would work for me. I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely this blush duo looked on my fair skin. The shade is described as a white-gold highlight and shimmering brick red blush. The

Youngblood Contour Palette Review - 1

Contour and Highlight Naturally with the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Contour Palette

Contour palettes are probably one of the hottest products in the makeup industry right now and the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Contour Palette offers a palette with six shades to naturally highlight and contour a variety of skin tones. The palette is beautifully packaged. The palette is made from a thick sturdy foam with a faux leather exterior. It secures with magnets. There is no mirror. (I never use compact mirrors so this doesn't bother me.) The palette is organized in three columns with a highlight shade on the top and a

Benefit Real Cheeky Party Blushing Beauty Review, Swatches, and Comparisons

The Benefit Real Cheeky Party Blushing Beauty Kit ($42 US/$54 CAD) for Holiday 2015 is one of the season's gifting must haves. If you missed out on last year's Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box o' Blushes then you will want to get your hands on this set before it sells out. I'm not sure if they are more prepared for the demand this year, since last year's kit sold out so quickly, but better safe than sorry. The packaging is so fun this year. Bright green and pink with a polka dot party theme. The palette is a very sturdy tin and

Complexion Perfection with the New Burberry Cashmere Foundation and Contouring & Highlighting Pens

The new Burberry Cashmere Fluid Foundation ($54 US/$60 CAD) is very aptly named. This liquid foundation offers medium to full coverage with a cashmere soft matte effect. It's a beautiful satin matte finish with a natural radiance. The formula is touted as being weather proof. Performing through, and protecting from, rain, humidity and pollution. I haven't had the opportunity to test out these claims as the humidity here I think is finally abolished for fall. I do find this foundation lasts the day for me with minimal fading.
