Here’s a quick post on a look I did a couple weekends ago. I have been lemming the new Dior Summer 2013 Bird of Paradise collection badly so I thought I would try to curb my tropical cravings with some products in my stash. I used a few shades from the Dior Garden Pastels palette from last year along with Rouge Bunny Rouge Mysterious Tinamou eyeshadow and my Annabelle Smoothliner in Meteorite. I can’t recall what I used for blush but it doesn’t matter anyways because all you can see is my flushed cheeks! I may have already partaken in some Saturday afternoon beverages at the time these photos were taken. Yay rosacea! On the lips I am wearing one of my all time favourite lip formulas, YSL Glossy Stain, in 27 Peche Cerra-Colla.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Megaplumes Dramatic Lash Mascara in Oxblood Panache ~ Photos, Swatches, and Review
I have had this mascara in my possession for a while now and I apologize for not reviewing it for you sooner. To be honest I was a little afraid of it. Behold the Rouge Bunny Rouge Megaplumes Dramatic Lash Mascara in Oxblood Panache.
As with all Rouge Bunny Rouge products I simply must share their whimsical product story with you:
The dusky queen of unfathomable enigma appears in the blink of an eye, an auspicious aurora that appeals with an undeniable draw. Those held breathless in her beauteous gaze stand compelled as shimmering spectre diffuses like a pall of low-hung vapour in the skies. Only the Enchanted Garden understands its shiny, inky inhabitant, emerging from plummetless pools in an unperceived aqueous carriage. This underwater vortex born from subterranean disgruntlement and burgeoning tempest, sends pitchy clouds soaring towards an unreachable surface in an explosion of rising plumes deep within indigo seas. A majestic display of giant twisters spinning like slow but gargantuan tornadoes, thrusts curious creatures through water to land where they’re seen in the briefest of glimpses. The still and silent exterior belies the drama beneath, leaving all who thought they saw a pulse and flutter, filled with a growing sense of wonder.
Influenced by the magnificent megaplumes, Dramatic Lash Mascara achieves the same impressive effect of false lash extensions, delivering full, thick, long and perfectly curled lashes to all who covet a mesmerising gaze. Graduating curves of strong, hollow fibres spiraling around the classic maxi-brush, gently and evenly sweep colour over every single lash without clumping. Even more difficult to reach, short lashes can be given perfect volume and curl. With colours borrowed from a submerged cosmos, adorn lashes with the abyssal hues of ox-blood or carbon black.
Embrace effortless glamour as lashes are coated with a film that’s strong yet supple. The addition of a natural jellifying system gives superior flexibility and the brilliant filmogen complex brings a lasting shine. Panthenol strengthens and restructures, while its non-stop moisturising action nourishes and prevents breakage. Fabulous lashes that are water resistant, smudge-proof, fade-proof and transfer-proof, last throughout the day. For a stunning, impeccable and sophisticated look, suitable for contact lens wearers and those with sensitive eyes, Megaplumes mascara ensures you assert a darkly beautiful persuasion.
The formula of this mascara is quite dry. It is a bit disconcerting at first as you expect when a mascara has a dry texture that it is at the end of it’s life but I really like this formula. They dry formula means you can apply the product without any messy clumps and you can continue to build the volume whilst maintaining lightweight, fluttery lashes. The Oxblood Panache shade is not near as scary as I’d feared. While in direct sunlight it can appear quite red, in normal situations it is actually quite a lovely shade of oxblood. My favourite way to wear it is over a coat of black mascara. This helps give my fair lashes more of the definition they need and boosts the impact. I didn’t experience any issues with flaking or smudging with this mascara and removal is a breeze.

When new products are seasonally released they become part of the permanent line. Eventually, however, the line must be culled. The following is a list of products and shades being discontinued.
