Spring is All About Orange with the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Audacious and Lacquer Balm in Tease

Revlon Colorburst Balms 1

This spring is hot for orange! Whether it be tangerine or coral these bright shades of orange spark thoughts of the warmth and vibrancy of spring. Whether you love a sheer glossy touch of colour or a vibrant matte impact lip, Revlon has something that will satisfy your spring cravings.

Revlon Colorburst Balms 2

The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Audacious is a vibrant orange coral with a matte finish that still manages not to look flat. It has a creamy feel that feels moisturizing on the lips rather than dry. The Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Tease is a sheer deep reddish orange with very, very subtle shimmer that isn’t really detectable on the lips or in swatches. It has a glossy finish and balmy, hydrating feel. Both of these Revlon Colorburst chubby stick balms have fairly short wear times but offer nice even colour and comfortable wear.

Cream Blush Lover or Fearer – Here are Some New Cream Cheek Products to Try

Cream Blushes-page-001

I love cream blush product for their natural quality. A good cream blush will melt into the skin looking completely natural and part of you. Cream blushes have come a long way from the thick, tacky, sticky products of past decades. If you have always been nervous about trying a cream cheek product and worried about being able to apply and blend properly then now is the time to finally try them. With the light, silky, blendable versions available now application is made easy. Heck, you can even apply most of these with a brush and you won’t feel too out of your comfort zone.

Makeup For Ever HD Cream Blush ($31 CAD/0.09 oz) The perfect balance of Silicone Oils, Dry Oils and Waxes offer infinite blendability in a long-lasting formula. Silica Powders and Synthetic Mica allow for a smooth, comfortable texture, while delivering a satin, soft-focus finish. Clear Mother-of-Pearl and Pigments give natural colour with a luminous finish for a radiant, healthy glow. These cream blushes offer the dewy glow I love with a long lasting formula that feels super light. There is no stickiness and it applies beautifully with a brush or fingers. Available in an amazing 16 shades.

Revlon Cream Blush ($11.95 CAD/0.44 oz) This cream blush offers a huge amount of product for a great price. It feels very light and silky and blends out to a satin finish. It is available in 4 shades.

Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Stick ($11.99 CAD/0.24 oz) This new stick blush is wonderfully light and offers a sheer wash of colour. The two shades have quite a bit of shimmer. These are so easy to blend and work with. 6 shades available.

NARS Matte Multiple ($39 CAD/0.26 oz) The new matte version of the iconic NARS multiple is shimmer free and has a matte finish with no dewiness. You can also apply wet for a richer finish that melts into the skin. It feels very light. Silky as opposed to creamy. I absolutely adore the natural soft pink of Anguilla. These can also be worn on the lips.  7 shades are available.

Revlon by Marchesa Nail Art 3D Jewel Appliques – Photos, Swatches, Review

Nail appliques are one of the hottest nail trends right now. What started as a somewhat niche product has hit the mainstream big time with a lot of well known nail and beauty brands releasing their own versions. I admit to being a bit of a bad blogger and letting a number of these pile up without proper review. I just couldn’t get that excited about this new fad. Well, Revlon has changed all that. Their collaboration with the iconic Marchesa design house brings the world of nail appliques to a whole other level. The Revlon by Marchesa Nail Art 3D Jewel Appliques are stunning works of art reminiscent of Marchesa’s stunning couture gowns that will have you oohing and aahing.

Each set contains 18 strips to fit most nail sizes and are UV cured to last. There is no dry time and are easy to apply at home. I will be sure to post nail of the day posts when I put these gorgeous designs to use! I was actually shocked to see these have a suggested retail value of only $8.95 CAD. They are hitting shelves this month, October 2013.
