  • Ultra silky texture
  • Excellent colour pay-off
  • Long-lasting colour
  • Paraben free
  • Modern black double-tier compact includes 2 applicators
  • Offered in quad shades and monochromatic shades

I find that Coffee Beans isn’t totally monochromatic but rather 4 shades that are very similar in colour but for the most part in the same finish. The bottom left shade is a satin finish while the other 3 shades offer pretty much the same amount of very refined shimmer in colours that are slightly different tones in the same colour family. I wish they were indeed 4 unique finishes as was suggested when I was told about the product at the Beauty Unveiling but regardless this is gorgeous palette. There are two sponge tip applicators hidden under the shadows in a flip up compartment. I like as well that the top of the compact is clear so I can see at a glance which palette I’m reaching for.
Coffee Beans is very nicely pigmented and smooth. The warm brown is great for bringing out my blue eyes. I have really been loving the bottom left shade in my crease and have been reaching for it for several looks lately. The shadows blend well and last the day over a primer. It is a very nice formula and I’m looking forward to checking out the other new quads. These appear on Marcelle’s website now but last I checked I did not see them in stores. I imagine if they aren’t there yet they will be any day now. Please let me know if you’ve spotted them!
Here is a look I did using three of the four shades. You can see the varying shades and finish offer a nice contour of the eye.

Marcelle Lux Cream Eye Shadow + Liner in Sea Breeze and Wisteria – Swatches, Pics, Review

When I had my little drugstore shopping spree a few weeks back I decided to try a couple of the Marcelle Lux Cream Eye Shadow and Liner pencils. I’m not really sure why I selected colours so out of my comfort zone but I have a feeling I will be going back and picking up more. These are PERFECT for summer. When they say waterproof and smudge proof they aren’t kidding. These babies don’t budge!

A jumbo pencil in a creamy, non-sticky luxurious formula. The ultra-silky texture glides on evenly for a quick and easy application and color that lasts up to 9 + hours. Waterproof, the color will not smudge, transfer or crease once it sets. Use each pencil alone as a shadow or as a liner, or mix and match shades to create your own looks. The sponge-end makes smoky-eye looks easy to achieve. Simply use the smudge tip to extend the color onto your lid for the perfect smoky eye.
 Hypo-allergenic and perfume-free.
 Format: 0.05 OZ / 1.6 g
Suggested retail price: $13.95

The product comes as a chubby pencil with a smudger tip on the other end.

I brought home Sea Breeze and Wisteria. Beautiful, shimmering pastels that evoke the joy of spring. I’ve played with these quite a bit and they function excellently on their own as an eyeshadow or liner and also work great as a base. I literally rubbed my fingers across my lids and the Lux Cream Eye Shadows did not move at all.
