Lise Watier Something Sweet Eau de Toilette and Sweet Lips Yummy Lip Balm ~ Photos and Review

Lise Watier has launched a new fragrance exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart called Something Sweet (Eau de Toilette Spray 50ml/$59 CAD). Now typically if you threw the terms sweet and gourmand at me in reference to a perfume my instinctive reaction would be to gag. I don’t do heavy “sweet” scents. Lise Watier Something Sweet however, was a pleasant surprise. While it does have the sweet element, it is also light and refreshing at the same time. In fact it is quite delightful!

Something Sweet is the cheerful new scent that captures a gourmand’s embrace of youthful vitality. With its sparkling top notes of Champagne bubbles and Rainbow Sorbet, refreshing accents of Melon Fizz and Red Fruit, and a delectable base of Juicy Raspberry and Chocolate Mousse, Something Sweet is distinctive and playful.

As part of the release there are also three limited edition lip balm pots. I have the Yummy Lip Balm (9g/$12.50 CAD) in Berries. It is a light feeling balm with a sweet berry scent and flavour. It has a very, very fine shimmer that gives just a hint of glow to the lips. The Yummy Lip Balm is also available in Chocolate and Pistachio. I would love to see what the Pistachio version is like!

These should be available now at Shoppers Drug Mart. There will also be a Something Sweet Roll-On (10ml/$25 CAD) being released in August 2013.

Shoppers Drug Mart and Lise Watier are also running a really cool contest as part of the Something Sweet release. Lise Watier is on a nationwide search for a young woman who embodies the delectably light-hearted spirit of Something Sweet. To participate simply snap a pic of yourself in the Something Sweet environment at your favourite Shoppers Drug Mart and post it to Instagram (or submit directly). You can register at somethingsweet.lisewatier.com. The five girls with the most votes will be declared finalists and win a prize valued at $1,000 each. From the five finalists they will select an ambassador of Something Sweet and she will be awarded a 6-month contract as the face of the fragrance!

Lise Watier Rouge Gourmand Lipstick in Pomme Cannelle ~ Summer 2013 India Gold Collection ~ Photos, Swatches, Review

I know I sound like a total…hmmm what’s the term…Patty Positive? Ha ha. I have no idea. I know Debbie Downer but what’s the opposite? Do tell! Anyways, I know I have been full of praise this week. The Lise Watier India Gold Summer 2013 Collection has had me in an elated mood since I received it last week. The packaging, the shades, the formulas, I have been in beauty addict heaven. Another wonderful item from this collection is the Lise Watier Rouge Gourmand Lipstick in Pomme Cannelle ($21 CAD).

The Rouge Gourmand formula is enriched with Lise Watier’s Maxi-Lip technology. It is a wonderfully hydrating formula that keeps my lips soft and comfortable all day while lasting for hours and hours. It has a somewhat creamy texture yet doesn’t have a lot of slip which is just what I love. These lipsticks kind of remind me of Chanel Rouge Coco lipsticks without as much dryness.

Pomme Cannelle is a beautiful copper with gold shimmer. On my lips is gives a subtle suggestion of coral. The gold shimmer makes your lips glow and look plump without the frostiness I had feared when first looking at it in the tube. This shade is such a beautiful compliment to the rich warm tones of some of the shades in the Palette India.

You should be able to find the Lise Watier India Gold Summer 2013 Collection at a Lise Watier retailer near you as it will be available from mid April 2013 through to the end of July 2013. You can order online, including those of you in the US, from LiseWatier.com soon.

Lise Watier India Gold Summer 2013 Collection Look 1 and My Accidental Grey Hair

I was going to incorporate more shades of the Lise Watier Palette India in this look but I ended up liking the combination of the sand and blue so much I decided to stick with just the two shades and I will show you another look featuring more of the colours in the palette, as well as the lipstick, later in the week.

For this look I used the Sand colour on the middle of the lid with the Blue on the inner and outer corners and blended to meet in the crease. I repeated this on the lower lashline. I did not line my upper lashline but simply tightlined my upper waterline instead with Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in Sabbath. I finished off the eyes with Benefit They’re Real! mascara. I am wearing the Blush-On Powder in Rose Éclat on the Cheeks and the Gloss Bollywood on my lips.

You can also check out my awesome mistake of over toning my hair. I accidentally gave myself grey hair and I kinda dig it. I think I will probably fix it to make it more platinum as intended since the back and underside is mostly neutral blond at the moment and I’m not happy with the mismatch. Although… maybe I’ll just dye it all grey instead….
