Haughty Cosmetics Holiday 2011 Collection and Announcement

Great news! The international shipping feature is now live on the Haughty Cosmetics website. You may recall my rave review of their lip glosses from this post. This is just in time for the release of the new holiday colours; Give, Receive and Celebrate. The three new shades will be available as a set including a beautiful makeup bag for only $45. What a great gift idea! The new glosses will also be available for purchase individually at the regular price of $21 each.

The new collection should be available on the Haughty Cosmetics website later today. I highly recommend you try these glosses. The formula and colours are incredible and 50% of net profits are donated to domestic violence prevention education.

Chanel Ombres Perlees de Chanel Gives Kaska Beige a Boost Face of the Day

I thought I’d try punching up my usual Chanel Kaska Beige look by using the Ombres Perlees de Chanel Quint to add some finishing touches. I liked the subtle glow it gave to the look. Apologies for the lackluster hair and somewhat unsuccessful attempt at getting decent pics. I was just going heading to the cottage. ;-)

Byzance de Chanel Collection Face of the Day Take 1

So here was my first play with the Byzance de Chanel Collection. I didn’t use the Rouge Allure though as I was just going to the office and this was already a tad over the top for work as it was. Not that I care though. ;-) Work is the only place I ever go so I go as fun as I want with my makeup everyday! You only live once right?
As I mentioned in the review for the Rouge Joues Contrast I was pleased with how easy it ended up being to apply without looking clown like. I found the result to be a nice, natural looking flush. For my first look with Topkapi I used the gold in the corner of the eye, taupe on the lid, chocolate brown in the crease and the dark brown in the outer v into the crease a bit as well as to line. You can in these pictures what I meant in my review of Topkapi about being disappointed with the chocolate brown shade on my skin. In the pan and swatches it seems to have a distinct copper tone but on my lid it went quite flat. Just brown. Heck it almost looks cool brown. Anywho I still love Topkapi. Stay tuned for a second look later this week. It was raining the morning of these pics so there are no outdoor, full light pics. I had to resort to dull indoor natural light and flash.
