Summer 2016 Fragrance Guide

I am so excited to be able to share with you so many amazing new scents that are perfect for summer. Many  of these are actually going to be year round favourites for me. I love discovering new scents! These are in no particular order. Aside from the first scent which is my hands down favourite. And what a surprise that was! The new Mugler Angel Muse Eau de Parfum ($78 CAD/30ml) is, of course, a gourmand scent. This fragrance is touted as being the first gourmand vetiver for women. Vetiver is one of my absolute favourite

Guerlain The Eye Pencil in Khaki Driver and Black Jack Review for Spring 2016

The Guerlain Spring Glow Spring 2016 Collection brings the addition of a new long-lasting eyeliner to the Guerlain range, the Guerlain The Eye Pencil ($38 CAD). Available in five shades, this water resistant khol liner has a creamy, non dragging formula that applies with ease. The end of the pencil has a smudger tip for blending out the liner if you wish to achieve a softer look. The pencil really does blend out beautifully, and while I usually prefer to use eyeshadow on my lower lashline, I really like how these pencils looked

Top 10 Setting Powders and Sprays for Dry Skin

This week the Beauty Blogger Top Ten group is sharing our Top 10 Setting Products. I have dry skin so shine control isn't my primary concern when it comes to my choice of setting product. For me it is about simply setting my liquid foundation without ending up looking dry and dull. For this reason I enjoy powders that have subtle illuminating properties to bring a healthy glow to my complexion and I always follow with a setting spray to eliminate any powderyness. In no particular order: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural -

Bronze Glow Summer Makeup Look

I thought I would share this look with you from last week that I was particularly pleased with. Even though my skin leans cool neutral I still love using warm shaded to bring out my blue eyes and I find I can pull them off quite well. Especially when summer rolls around I find myself reaching for warmer makeup more and more. I find warm bronze and peach shades combined with glowy skin to be the perfect summer makeup. Products used: Complexion Dermalogica Redness Relief Primer SPF 20 Make Up For Ever Face & Body

Makeup Wars My Favourite Perfumes

My Favourite Perfumes | Makeup Wars

Today the Makeup Wars member are sharing our favourite perfumes! Funny thing is, even though I have a rather expansive fragrance collection, I don't actually own full bottles of most of my favourite scents. My Recently Discontinued Baby One of my favourite scents is the now discontinued Guerlain Vetiver Pour Elle. It is the "clean" scent I had always been searching for but didn't know how to find. I had a scent in my mind that I considered clean that I was unable to articulate into fragrance notes until I started delving
