Giorgio Armani Fade to Grey Eyeshadow Palette Review, Photos, Swatches

The star piece of the Giorgio Armani Fall 2014 Fade to Grey Collection is without a doubt the Giorgio Armani Fade to Grey Eyeshadow Palette ($70 CAD). The two shades of gel powder formula eyeshadows are cold cast in the same pan and embossed with a beautiful pattern. The "micro pearl" technology ensures the micronized pearl and pigment particles remain intact throughout the product right down to the bottom of the pan. The shades are a smoky grey and a golden toned nude. Both shades have exquisite and complex refined shimmer

The Giorgio Armani Fall 2014 Fade to Grey Makeup Collection is a superbly edited collection of delicate shades for a soft autumn look. The collection features soft mineral tones with delicate shimmer for a sheer, weightless effect. "It's more striking when it has that slight ‘lived-in’ look. My Favourite Purple Eyeshadows | Makeup Wars

This week the Makeup Wars team is sharing with you our Favourite Purple Eyeshadows. I tend to favour more plum and burgundy shades with my blue eyes when it comes to this colour family but I was able to pull out some of my most used and loved truer purples. OK well maybe some of them lean a little plum but I tried! First off I will share my favourite pressed formula shadows. The first shades are my two most used matte purples and the next three my favourite shimmery beauties. MAC Fig 1 (Matte 2 formula) Inglot Matte

Makeup Wars | My 6 Favorite Nude Lipsticks and Lipglosses

This week the Makeup Wars team is sharing with you our favourite nude lip products. I rarely used to wear a "nude" lip but in the past few years I've grown increasingly fond of it. Concealer lips are a look I will never go for, nor understand. Egads! Everyone's definition of nude differs, especially depending on their skin tone, but here are some long standing favourites and newer loves that I consider nude. 1) Giorgio Armani Rouge d'Armani #102 Gloss d'Armani lipsticks are one of my favourite lipstick formulas. Hydrating and

10 Things on My Beauty and Accessory Wishlist for Spring for Beauty Blogger Top Ten Tuesday

This week the Beauty Blogger Top Ten members are sharing our Top Ten Beauty and Accessory Items that we are dreaming of in anticipation of spring. I know it is technically spring on the calendar but as I look at the snow falling out my window it sure doesn't feel like spring yet! I am all about embracing colour with the change of seasons and my choices will reflect that. Also my total lack of handbags leaves me always dreaming of finally picking up some beautiful pieces. Alas I know I am simply dreaming. Kate Spade Holly

Makeup Wars | My Favourite Highlighters and Illuminating Products

This week the Makeup Wars members are sharing our favourite illuminating products. This is probably one of my favourite cosmetics categories for two reasons. Firstly I have very dry, dull skin and I need a lot of assistance in the glow department. Secondly I am very picky when it comes to products in this category so finding the right product is always a struggle for me. I guess I kind of enjoy the challenge and the subsequent joy and satisfaction of finding a product that meets my expectations. Why am I so picky? Well when it

Giorgio Armani Spring 2014 Effetto Nudo Belladonna Highlighting Face Palette | Photos, Swatches, Review

Isn't she beautiful? Upon first glance I thought this magnificent sheen must be emanating from a cream product. It just seemed so fluid almost. After capturing her virgin beauty on camera I reached out to touch her and was surprised to discover that the limited edition Giorgio Armani Effetto Nudo Belladonna Highlighting Palette ($70 CAD/$88 US) is indeed a powder. A new gel-based formula that is prepared using a cold-cast technique which melds immediately with its case, for a unique feel between powder and cream. It feels very

Beauty Blogger Top Ten Tuesday | My Top 10 Red Liptsticks

Valentine's Day always has us dreaming in shades of red, so this week the Beauty Blogger Top Ten members are showing you our Top 10 Favourite Red Lipsticks! I love a beautiful red. Unfortunately I rarely have the nerve to wear them out of the house! It just seems so dramatic on me. This list is in no particular order. (Except number 1, which happens to be my absolute favourite!) Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge in #8 - This liquid lipstick can be worn without the top coat for a matte finish or with the top coat for a high

Makeup Wars – My Favourite Foundations

This week for Makeup Wars we are sharing some of our favourite foundations and BB creams. I have fair skin that is very dry and dehydrated. Sometimes I can have some flakiness around my nose and on my chin. What I look for in a foundation is a formula that will even out the redness in my skin while covering up some of the hyper pigmentation. I need it to have a natural or dewy finish so it doesn't cause my already dry skin to look look even more parched. It is important to me that I don't see my foundation and that it doesn't

Get the Look | Cate Blanchett at the Golden Globes 2014

I don't think anyone can argue that Cate Blanchett, who won Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her work in Blue Jasmine, had one of the most stunning and sophisticated looks at the Golden Globes on Sunday night. Everything from top to bottom was pure glamour. She wore an Armani Privé black lace and tulle gown. The delicately embroidered dress is highlighted by a high neck, open back and cap sleeves creating a dramatic effect. The form-fitted bodice drapes into a gauzy layered skirt, dotted throughout
