This week the Makeup Wars team is sharing with you our Favourite Purple Eyeshadows. I tend to favour more plum and burgundy shades with my blue eyes when it comes to this colour family but I was able to pull out some of my most used and loved truer purples. OK well maybe some of them lean a little plum but I tried! First off I will share my favourite pressed formula shadows. The first shades are my two most used matte purples and the next three my favourite shimmery beauties. MAC Fig 1 (Matte 2 formula) Inglot Matte

This week some of your favorite beauty bloggers are sharing their Top Ten Gold products. I don't have many gold products as I find yellow gold doesn't compliment my colouring very well. I absolutely adore the look of antique gold though and I'm anxious to go on a shopping spree for some antique gold shades to embrace the antique gold trend for Fall 2013. Here are some of my most used and loved gold products ranging from white gold, to yellow gold, all the way to the far green extreme of antique gold with Aztec Gold from Fyrinnae.

I have SO MANY new Fyrinnae loose eyeshadows to swatch for you as well but I need to wait for a FULL day of sun to undertake that project! Green again. I know. What is it with me and green lately? I barely even used to own any green eyeshadows let alone wear them on a regular basis. Now I just can't seem to get enough. As soon as I took the swatch photos of the Fyrinnae Samhian 2012 collection I knew I was going to be wearing Ethereal Éire first. Velveteen Werewolf just seemed to be the perfect match for it. I really love how this look came out. I can see this being another "go to green look" to add to my ever growing list. Please excuse the horrible flat
Be forewarned. This post is ridonkulously pic heavy. How can a review full of incredibly beautiful, dimensional, complex, and full out fabulous Fyrinnae product not be pic heavy? All that being said, even given the mass quantity of photos I have included in this post, I still did not manage to adequately capture the full, and shifting, beauty of these shades. To truly appreciate them you must witness them yourselves. Something I strongly recommend. Arcane Magic: Mermaid Masquerade Loose Eye Shadow Bright, rich, shimmering royal
This weeks Makeup Wars Challenge is for our favourite fall look. Fall just happens to be my favourite season. I love the crisp air and sunshine. The beautiful changing leaves bring forth all my most loved colours in nature. Autumn has always been the colour palette that speaks to me the most. My hair isn't a hint at all is it? ;-)I wanted to create an eye look that incorporated all the glorious changing leaves around me. I immediately turned to my arsenal of almost 100 Fyrinnae shades to find the perfect representations of the
Here is my face of the day featuring the new Pressed Eye Shadows from Fyrinnae in Te Amo and Woolly Mammoth. The look is even more amazing in person. I am so excited to be able to share with you two of the new PRESSED Fyrinnae eyeshadows! I was lucky enough to win these from Fyrinnae in a Twitter contest. If you aren't following me yet I'm @PerilouslyPale. ;-) I received the shades Te Amo (an existing shade in the loose format), and Woolly Mammoth (a new pressed only shade I believe). They come in a MAC "style" plastic pot in a silver colour but the packaging is actually larger. The eyeshadows themselves are larger as well containing a full 2 grams of product! I would love to be
First off I must apologize for the lack of posting lately. My little sister had her first baby a couple of weeks ago and I have been busier than usual travelling there as much as I can to help out with her beautiful girl. Add in more social activity in the past couple weeks than I've had in ages and I've been far too distracted. Not that this is really an excuse. I've have still had time I could have dedicated to getting some reviews done but I've been happily vegging when I had the opportunity instead. This coming week is March

Well I'm half ass back up and running now. I'm using my sister's old laptop so posting has resumed but this thing is a pain to operate and move pics around in posts etc. so things may still be a bit slow for a while. I also still have a tonne of pics for reviews and looks to pull of the hard drive of my kaput computer. I'm sorry but you will all have to bare with my new Fyrinnae addiction. I just can't get enough of these gorgeous shades and I'm having a blast playing with new looks every day! I wore this green look this past
I have been agonizing over ordering from Fyrinnae for years. Between the site's periodic closings and my inability to narrow down my choices I never managed to place an order. I finally decided to just order my 20 samples (the maximum allowed in one order) and not stress too much over which ones. I would just order more. That is just what I did. After the 3 days had passed (minimum wait before ordering over $50 worth of stuff internationally) I ordered another 20 sample jars! So I have 40 beautiful shades to show you! I was also
I received both of my Fyrinnae orders on Friday and I am totally blown away! I'm going to start swatching these babies for you soon but I wanted to share a look I did on Sunday. My first experiment with my new Fyrinnae pretties was actually on Saturday but hubby said, "I hope you're going to wash that off because you look like a clown", so needless to say I'm not posting that look! Actually I thought it turned out really nice but it was very purple, quite dark and certainly more in your face than my typical looks. I can't wait to
I am so excited that I FINALLY made my first (and second) order from Fyrinnae. I have been wanting to order for years but between my indecision over shades and the site closing down periodically it has never materialized. I finally rectified that last week and my first order has already shipped. In all the excitement I remembered that I have a Fyrinnae free sample that someone had included in a swap ages ago that I had never tried or even swatched. I decided it was time to satisfy my Fyrinnae craving while waiting for my packages!
