When it comes to spring colours for eyes I think of pretty soft pastels and fresh bright colours. It's the perfect season to embrace the girly girl within us and really play with colour. Here are some of my favourite Eyeshadow Shades and Palettes for Spring. Some are new Spring 2015 releases, while others have been in my collection a little longer. Lancome My French Palette - Such a stunning palette of pink toned neutrals with a punch of teal colour. Dior 5 Couleurs Kingdom of Colors House of Greens - Lovely palette of
Today the Beauty Blogger Top Ten Team is rounding up Top 10 Spring Blushes for 2015. When the weather warms up and the birds start chirping I start pulling out peaches, corals, and brighter pinks. I don't know about you but sometimes I just feel off trying to use a coral blush in the winter. It is very much a spring/summer indulgence for me. I have selected my current "go to" favourites for this spring. Some of these are new releases for Spring 2015 and others are long time favourites. In no particular order: Guerlain
Holiday Stockings were never a huge source of excitement for me. Socks, underwear, with a few yummy chocolates and candy were certainly appreciated and practical, just never a source of great anticipation growing up. Well times have changed, and especially as adults, our stocking can get pretty darn exciting. Take this opportunity to wow and surprise with compact, yet impressive, gifts. Khaki is described as a dull brownish-yellow but it is much more beautiful than it's description. Shades range from khaki browns, to khaki greens, and even khaki greys. I love the shades because they are a great twist on a neutral, looks great with every eye colour, and you can create such beautiful and interesting smoky eye looks with them.
This week the Makeup Wars team has been challenged with creating an entire makeup look with products that total under $30! I can't wait to see the $30 Face Makeup Look that everyone comes up with and what their favourite budget products are. This challenge was really tough for me. Firstly I'm a bit of a luxe lover when it comes to makeup, and secondly, being in Canada $30 doesn't go near as far as it does in the US! This just goes to show you that you don't have to break the bank to get a complete makeup look. I think this would
essence Mono Eyeshadow in 73 Mint Candy ($2.49 CAD) is the prettiest mint green with "holographic effect" sheen. essence Metal Glam Eyeshadow in 08 N'Ice Frosting ($2.49 CAD) is a metallic silvery white with hints of green in it's iridescent shimmer. essence Stays No Matter What Eyepencil and Shadow in 06 Green Garden ($2.99) is a nicely pigmented forest green with shimmer that is very budge proof and waterproof. I used this to draw four leaf clovers on my kids cheeks this morning for school and I know they will still be there
Well I hope clicking on my post won't be a huge disappointment for all you nail art fans but my contribution to the Makeup Wars Halloween Manicure Challenge is fairly sad. My nails happen to be in horrifying condition at the moment. I've been under some stress and have resorted to nail biting again. Given the teeny, tiny surface of my stubby nail beds I didn't have much of a canvas to work with so this is a cramped first attempt at some free hand nail art.I stopped into Shoppers Drug Mart because I didn't own a black nail polish.
