butter LONDON Gobsmacked from Autumn/Winter 2012 ~ Swatches, Photos, Review

butter LONDON Gobsmacked took me by surprise. I didn’t think I would be wowed by this one but turns out it’s one of my favourites from the collection. I’m not naturally attracted to nail polishes in the grey family. Silly me thinking they would be boring! The silver glitter in the deep charcoal base is truly mesmerizing. So simple yet so fantastic. I think read somewhere someone comparing it to diamonds sparkling in asphalt and it is the perfect description! I had good wear time from this polish and it is a PITA to remove like any glitter. It’s worth it though. ;-)

butter LONDON Lovely Jubbly Nail Lacquer for Autumn/Winter 2012

It’s time for some more butter LONDON Autumn/Winter 2012 pretties! Lovely Jubbly is certainly the “funnest” shade in the collection and completely appropriate for year round wear.
Lovely Jubbly is a playful mix of very fine magenta pink and gold glitter along with larger magenta, blue, and red glitter in a clear base. The overall effect is a purple magenta shade that leans one way or the other depending on the lighting. The glitter is quite dense so one coat is all you would need to use this as a glitter topcoat or three coats will bring you enough opacity to wear it solo as I have done in the following photos.

Lovely Jubbly had great wear time for me. I had some minor shrinkage from Poshe topcoat and a bit of tip wear but it managed to stay chip free for several days.
I ordered this from ButterLondon.ca.

butter LONDON Trustafarian from Autumn/Winter 2012 ~ Swatches, Photos, Review

butter LONDON recently had a 30% off promo and I decided to pick up the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection set. I am so happy I decided to get the full set. Every one of these polishes is gorgeous and unique.
Trustafarian is a gorgeous light sage green holo. I know some have expressed difficulties with the shade of green on their skintone but I am loving it on mine. It applied perfectly! I have issues with holos in the past but one coat of this even offered a very even application. Two coats brings full opacity. It has wore absurdly long on my short, soft, bendy, sad nails. I usually don’t bother commenting on wear time of polishes in my reviews because NOTHING lasts on my nails well past a day but I think I am on day 4 right now with only one small chip and minimal tip wear. Phenomenal performance on my nails.
