BECCA Ultimate Eye Colour Quad in Eclipsed ~ Photos, Swatches, and Review

BECCA came out with their new Ultimate Eye Colour Quads ($40 US) quite some time ago but I had not gotten around to trying them out. I have Eclipsed to share with you today and I can tell you it was well worth the wait.

The quads come in round rubberized compacts with metal embellishment just like their cheek and face compacts. I love this compact and sturdy packaging. There is no wasted space with teeny brushes or sponge tipped applicators.

Unfortunately my palette arrived with one of the shades broken. I pressed most of the shadow back in it’s pan without losing much product but unfortunately my photos are not pristine. I also figured since one was broken that “what the heck” I could dig right in and start testing it without worrying about taking photos first. ;)

The information from BECCA refers to the shades as: Metallic Silver, Metallic Champagne, Metallic Khaki, Metallic Moss

I would describe the shades as follows: Shimmery charcoal grey, metallic champagne, matte cool brown, shimmery moss green. The metallic champagne is super pigmented and creamy. The remaining three shades are nicely pigmented. The matte shade has a nice smooth texture and blends well. The grey and moss shade are a bit drier than the other in the palette but they lay down and blend beautifully. They last through the day without fading or creasing on me.

I think this is a superb palette. While it doesn’t include a browbone shade it is really nice to see that it offers a matte crease shade as well as options for day and night looks with the bright shimmery champagne and well as two deeper shade options. The formula contains vitamin E and is fragrance and preservative free.

BECCA Balearic Love Collection Face of the Day

First off I must apologize for how ridiculously pic heavy this post is. I love showing different lighting and angles to show how different something can look and I just couldn’t seem to narrow this post down enough so I gave up. Pics away!
Now that I’ve finished reviewing all of the items I ordered from the BECCA Balearic Love Collection I can post the second look I did using all the products. The links to all the individual reviews can be found in the product listing below. I was much happier with how it turned out by omitting the shade Atlas which I felt was a bit too warm for me. This is actually at the end of wearing these products all day. I was going out and touched up and amped up the smokey eye and snapped some pics before we left. I was very happy with how it turned out. Normally I don’t wear smoky eye looks but I felt very comfortable with this and my husband even said he liked it. After I asked of course. LOL

BECCA Cabrera Line & Define Pencil from Balearic Love Collection – Swatches, Pics, Review

I’m really pleased with the Line & Define Eye Pencil released with BECCA’s Balearic Love collection. A gorgeous shimmering bronze on one end and a deep violet on the other. It’s really one of the standout items from this collection.

A combination liner and brightener in one, this convenient dual-ended pencil has a soft, smooth texture that glides on easily to line, define and brighten the eyes, while blending easily. The dark side of BECCA’s Line & Define Pencil lavishly lines while the light side helps brighten and awaken tired eyes for a vibrant and youthful effect.

I love both the shades included in this dual ended pencil. They are both perfect. The violet shade is so deep that it give just a hint of violet to a look without looking overly purple. The shimmering bronze is such a pretty neutral shade to combine with the other products in this collection or for any number of looks. I can see I will be getting a lot of use out of this liner.

The formula of the Line & Define Pencil is very creamy and easy to blend. Actually that may be the only fault (if you could call it that) I could find with it. It is so incredibly creamy and blendable that you could blend it right away to nothing. It doesn’t tug and applies easily to the lid as well as to line your eyes.

I still have no idea why Blogger is uploading some of my images rotated? Anyone have any suggestions to resolve this. It’s making me crazy!
I purchased this from Zuneta who ships internationally.
