shu uemura Eye Event Summer 2014 Collection 3

The playful colours and variety of textures available in the shu uemura Eye Event Summer 2014 Collection will give you options for infinite looks and has given me some of my most used and loved favourite products of the summer.

The shu uemura Drawing Pencil ($28 CAD) was a pleasant surprise for me. For some reason the name Drawing Pencil had me thinking of a dry, hard formula. The Drawing Pencils happen to be some of the softest, creamiest, most pigmented, and longest wearing waterproof eye liners I have ever used. These have leaped right to the top of the eyeliner pack for me and I am definitely ordering more shades! Especially when I can use the code DRAW15 for 15% off my order and FREE shipping. So can you! There are a total of 21 colours (10 dark defining colours and 10 brights) and 4 different textures available. Matte (M), Pearl (P), Metallic (ME), and Glitter (G).

Shown below are:

  • M Black 01 – Jet black, standard black.
  • ME Pink 12 – softly metallic bright pink.
  • M Green Black 02 – jade tinted jet adds a hint of mysterious feel.
  • G Gold 93 – Glitter gold for brilliance.

The collection also features the shu uemura Petal Lash Mascara ($29 CAD) which is an all in one curling, lengthening, and volumizing mascara. It has a unique curved wand inspired by the pistil of a flower to catch even the shortest of lashes. I love the soft natural feel of this mascara. It feels so light on and gives natural yet impactful enhancement to the eyes.

There are four shu uemura Prêt-á-palette Ready-to-wear Palettes ($85 CAD) available in the collection as well. I absolutely adore shu uemura eyeshadows. They are some of the best eyeshadows on the market and these palettes are always expertly executed. When I first saw the Pink Hues Palette I thought “wow, that’s a lot of pink”. I didn’t think it would be that wearable. Once I applied the shadows I was completely blown away. The eye brighteing and opening look is stunning and I have been wearing this palette every single day since I received it. I am IN LOVE. It has become one of my absolute favourite looks and despite the impression you get quickly looking at the shades it is actually quite versatile.

The other three palettes are the Warm Brown Palette, Black and White Mono Palette, and Blue Morning Palette. I may just have to use the DRAW15 promo code to pick up the Warm Brown Palette! Hmm maybe the Black and White one as well.

  • Those eyeliners look like fun! I’ve seen some cool shades in the line-up. Can’t wait to see them in person!

  • Makeup Remastered says:

These eyeliners are amazing and I can use in waterline without getting itchy and scratchy !-it did eventually wear off but stuck around longer than any other liner-the pink palette is so pretty!
