Clinique Cheek Pops2

Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Berry Pop and Peach Pop | Photos, Swatches, Review

Clinique Cheek Pops1

I am going to get straight to the point. Go out and buy these. Right now! OMG I am so in love with these Clinique Cheek Pop Blushes! There are four shades available and at only ($24 CAD/$21 US 3.5 g) you may as well just run out and buy them all. Seriously. These blushes have an absolutely outstanding formula, stunning gerber daisy design, beautiful shades, and practical packaging. What’s not to love?

The two shades I have are Berry Pop and Peach Pop. Both shades have excellent pigmentation and a vibrant, yet translucent, finish that gives a gorgeous natural glow. The finish actually reminds me quite a bit of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes. No powdery, chalky look. Only glowing, flushed, natural looking skin. The blushes feel hard and don’t kick up any powder when you use them. It’s a strange feeling because when you rub your brush on them you don’t feel like you are picking up product but you are. The texture is quite similar to the Giorgio Armani Belledonna Highlighting Palette. Very hard and dense in the pan but soft and silky smooth to the touch. I imagine the similarity is due to the fact they both use a technology of slowly baking the product from a liquid to solid form rather than a pressed powder. The other available shades are Ginger Pop and Plum Pop.

I really can’t say enough good things about this new Cheek Pop blush formula from Clinique. My love for these blushes has no bounds. The best part is I believe they are permanent. Hopefully they will build on the shade offering in the future.

Ahhh I keep drooling every time I read a post about these! It’s still a bit of a wait till they get here, but I’m glad to hear they’re actually permanent! Would be SO cool if they add more shades to the line-up!

My press material says nothing about them being LE so I’ve got to assume permanent! Which I would think would mean possible new shade releases. 😀 Fingers crossed!

UM, HOW did I not hear of this. I MUST have them all! I wonder if they’re available at Shoppers. They’re both stunning, especially the peachy shade!

They are supposed to be at all Clinique counters so they should be!

Wow, I love the Peach Pop Swatch! I’ve already written it down for my to get list! It’s beautiful! Since I’ve never bought Clinique before, I have a question for you…. would their Cheek pop blush work well on dry skin? I’m 51, and my skin’s on the dry side for the most part.

Yes it will for sure. I have really dry skin too. Since it isn’t at all powdery or chalky it will look great. It just gives a lovely glow without visible shimmer or glitter.

    Hi Christa,
I went on Friday at The Bay Clinique counter and I purchased the Plum Pop and Peach Pop.The other two shades, where out of stock, all ready!!!
But, because I fall in love about them(because your review was soooo helpful), I’m gonna purchase the other two shades, soon. And, something very important to know:they are longwearing(up to 10 hours!!!)
    Thank you so much!

That is awesome Anca! Bummer they were sold out though. I wish I wasn’t so darn broke or I’d have found away to get those other two shades in my hands. Did you see a tester of Ginger Pop? I know I’ll love Plum Pop for sure but I’m curious about Ginger.
Thank you so much for mentioning they are long wearing! With my dry skin I rarely ever experience blushes fading so I usually don’t bother mentioning wear time. It’s great to get that feedback from someone else! 😀

        Hi Christa,
        Sorry for my late response…
        Beeing yourself a mother, I’m sure you understand… 🙂
No, I didn’t had the chance to see the other two shades, only one of them:Ginger Pop.
Beeing out of stock, they removed it from the presentation counter , but I did asked about the Ginger Pop shade and I did swatched on my arm from the tester.
The colour is more intense comparing with Peach Pop, but my skin is light and I found this too intense for me.
I think will work well for medium to tan skin.
        I hope this is helpful?!
I’m not very experienced reviewing products…

Have a good night and a great day, tomorrow!

I would love to have the Berry Pop one and the light pink one they offer, I can’t remember name of it right now, I think it is Plum Pop. I want to do a review of them on my blog also. I think they are adorable!!
