L’Oreal Paris Butterfly Mascara, Infallible Super Liner Blackbuster & Slim Liner 12H Eyeliner – Photos & Review

There is a new L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara on the shelves. The L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara ($11.99 CAD). It has a new, wing-tipped asymmetrical brush featuring two unique sides including one with shorter bristles for serious fringe volume boosting and lengthening. While the other side of the brush is curved with a mix of short to- long bristles for grabbing and separating each lash for a full, flared-out finish. I can guarantee you’ve never seen a mascara brush like this before.

This mascara gives great separation, length, and lift. If these features hold high priority for you over volume you are going to LOVE this mascara.  It is available in Black, Blackest Black, and Black Brown.

L’Oreal Paris Canada thought the recently released Infallible Super Liner Blackbuster Eyeliner ($12.99 CAD) and Infallible Slim Liner 12H Eyeliner ($10.99) would be perfect companions to the new Voluminous Butterfly Mascara to create a Butterfly Effect eye look that was all about fringe volume with a flared out finish.  The Blackbuster Eyeliner has a thick tip reminiscent of a Sharpie but it has a super fine tip that makes creating anything from a fine line to a super thick impactful wing a breeze. It is very black and easy to work with. The Slim Eyeliner has a very long and slim tip that allows you to lay down the brush flat and do a nice thin line. I actually found the Blackbuster with it’s firm fine tip easier to do some of the detail work below with though as the Slim Liner doesn’t distribute much product at the tip unless it’s lying somewhat flat.

So I think we were supposed to create a somewhat “normal” Butterfly Effect look but hey, I decided to go nuts and create something fun. My hooded lids are winged eyeliner’s enemy so I figured why not!

Oh, pretty butterfly effect! I’ll have to try this product out. I’ve been looking for a product with which to draw a butterfly design on my face for when I perform at renaissance festivals. Thanks!
