SeabuckWonders Sea Buckthorn Deep Hydrating Serum Review

SeabuckWonders Deep Hydrating Serum ($34.97 US) is formulated to moisturize and improve the tone and texture of your skin with their blend of Omega 3, 6, 9, and rare Omega-7. It is touted to support cell regeneration which aids in minimizing fine lines and creating a more radiant look to the skin. The serum is non greasy and absorbs very quickly. It leaves a slight bit of tackiness behind but this never troubled me as I would always follow up with a moisturizer afterwards.

Made with certified organic Sea Buckthorn, Vegan; Non-GMO, Paraben-free, Cruelty-free, Dairy-free, Wheat-free and Gluten-free. Naturally scented with essential orange oil Ingredients: Deionized Water, Vegetable Glycerin, Sodium Levulinate, Sodium Anisate, Betaine, Algae Extract, Mugwort (Artemisia Vulgaris) Extract, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Phenoxyethanol, Sclerotium Gum, Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Oil, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Xanthan Gum, Tocopherol Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Sodium Phytate, Ethylhexylglycerin.

SeabuckWonders offers not only skincare options containing Seabuckthorn oils but also supplements as well. You can reap the benefits of this “miracle berry” both inside and out. Their product line is available directly through their website. They are having a “Turn Your Heart Up” heart health month promotion for the month of February.

I’m curious to know if you noticed any particular scent on your skin from the product. I’ve been curious to try something with Sea Buckthorn oil, but I’ve been nervous since omega-7 fatty acids oxidize into the substance that causes “old person smell”. (I’m not making that up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2-Nonenal.)

I’m more and more intrigued by treatments based on natural oils, since they seem to be at least as effective as much more expensive options.

LOL! I sure hope I didn’t smell like an old lady. Trust me, if it smelled funky hubby would have let me know! It does have a bit of a scent but nothing unpleasant and I always topped with moisturizer so it was very short lived.
