Chanel Les 4 Ombres Eye Shadow Quad in Raffinement from the Spring 2013 Printemps Precieux de Chanel Collection ~ Photos, Swatches, and Review

I picked up the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow in Raffinement for my friend when I was in the states a few weeks ago. She was kind enough to let me hang on to it for a while for review purposes. I think I wish she didn’t because now I think I need it!

Given I purchased this in the US it is the US square panned, pressed version. I have refused to purchase the Canadian/Euro baked quads as I haven’t cared for them but Jessica at has assured me the baked version is just as exceptional and has the added bonus of being able to be used wet.

Raffinement is a gorgeous palettes of nudes with a subtle injection of mauve tones. I know it may seem a bit dupeable but the formula is incredible. The pigmentation is outstanding, the finish is beautiful, and the shadows are ultra creamy and blendable.

The photo below was taken in direct natural light. Just look at how amazing these shadows swatch. That is one swipe with a sponge tipped applicator. They are just as mesmerizing on the eye.

I purchased the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Eye Shadow Quad in Raffinement ($59 USD/$62 CAD) at Macy’s when I was in Buffalo, NY. It is available at Holt Renfrew and select The Bay in Canada. It is available online at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus in the US.

This quad is so lovely. The colours are right up my alley! I agree that I am not overly fond of the baked eyeshadow quads. I really want to pick up Raffinement the next time I am in the US. I have heard rumours that it is permanent in the Chanel range.
