Yves Saint Laurent lipsticks have some of the most exquisite packaging I have ever seen in the cosmetic industry. These heavy, luxurious tubes just exude class. The embossed logos on the shiny tubes are beautiful, while the pretty coloured band is also incredibly practical.
The Spring 2013 YSL Arty Stone Collection brings us two new shades of Volupte Sheer Candy Glossy Balm. #12 Tasty Raspberry and #13 Griotte Mocha (not shown). The Sheer Candy packaging is my favourite as the bullet is silver with contrasting gold embellishments rather than the standard all gold tube. The Volupte Sheer Candy is basically an incredibly luxurious, and pricey, lip balm. It offers a subtle tint of colour and delicate shimmer. It certainly offers the most lovely finish of any lip balm I own and the pigment is sufficient enough to softly lighten natural lip colour and give it a subtle hint of pink.
The YSL Rouge Volupte Sheer Candy Glossy Balm lip colours do wear off very quickly. Probably more quickly than a lot of my regular lip balms. This, however, gives you the opportunity to pull out the gorgeous tube more often and reapplication is a pleasure.
This shows how it gives a nice glow, gloss, and hint of pale pink to my lips. Love!
At $34 CAD/$30 this is indeed a luxury products and if you want a pack of pigment for your buck than you may want to pass. If you enjoy having decadently moisturized lips and the most posh of packaging than the YSL Rouge Volupte Sheer Candy Glossy Balm in Tasty Raspberry is for you. Available now at The Bay and Nordstrom. Expect the Spring 2013 Arty Stone collection to hit Holt Renfew, select The Bay, Sephora, and Murale boutiques this month.

So pretty. I love the YSL Lipstick (use Nude Beige all the time) but haven’t tried this glossy version. You are tempting me!

It’s very sheer but a lovely formula and gorgeous packaging!
The package is beautiful! Luv it. It is so elegant, like some sort of rare jewel. The color of the lip balm is gorgeous too.

Having the disposable income to splurge on something like that is definitely a necessity. It’s not something I’d save for as I’m always drawn to colour first!
Looks like a product I would use daily! Love the packaging as well.
