Yves Saint Laurent Blush Radiance Radiant Blush in #6 ~ Photos, Swatches, Review

Pink! There is just something about pretty pinks that makes me smile. I would have to say that when it comes to blush I am definitely a sucker for pinks. That is why when I opened the compact for the Yves Saint Laurent Blush Radiance Radiant Blush in #6 ($45 US/$55 CAD) I did a little fist pump in my mind. Now this is how you do pink!

The new shades of Blush Radiance, #7 and #8, released for Holiday 2012 have more shimmer in them but #6 has just the right amount of subtle glow for my tastes. It provides a nice soft, natural flush of colour when applied lightly. When applied more liberally offers a gorgeous pop of pink to the cheeks. I have been wearing this blush several times a week since I received it and I am very happy with it.

The shades are described as a bright pink sheen and a matte dusty rose. I swatched the shades individually below and then combined. I like just sweeping my brush across the whole pan for the perfect pink.

You can see me wearing a quite heavy application of this blush in my Yves Saint Laurent Pure Chromatics #12 Palette Face of the Day post.

How lovely! I’ve been curious to try these blushes for a while, particularly the lilac-hued one, although this one is bright and cheery, which is always nice to see at this time of year. Looks beautiful on you.

      Isn’t it lovely?

You are breathtaking. Your skin is luminous, your eyes, cheeks, and lips are in beautiful harmony. I wish I could make myself look a tenth as incredible as you.
(I tried to do a full face for tonight. Wished I could’ve washed it all off but I had no choice but to go out. I feel so yucky about it that I could toss out half of my makeup so I’d never have to see it on my face again. Oh well. I probably won’t feel so bad come morning!)

    • Christa

You are far too kind BooBooNinja!! I’m sure your makeup was lovely. You’re being too hard on yourself! Why don’t you send me an email and let me know what you’re having trouble with so I can try to help!

      • BooBooninja

I logged in to apologize for venting so much. I think I’m about to get my monthly visitor (sorry if that’s TMI!) so I was being too sensitive. Ahh.. I just need to practice more with my face. Thank you for offering to help — I’ll try to cobble together something for an email. You’re a sweetie, Christa. A beautiful one!

        • Christa

No apology necessary! I totally know what that’s like! Trust me! Yes please send me an email. It would be fun to see if we could figure any struggles out that you’re having!
