China Glaze Real Nail Polish Appliqués in Shake Your Tail Feathers ~ Swatches, Photos, Review

First off I must apologize for the horrific photography you are about to see. This is below the standard I hold myself to on Perilously Pale but I wanted to get a review of these cool nail appliques up and the sun was just not cooperating. I had hoped it would at least make an appearance for the manicure shots a day or two later but it never happened.
This is my first experience with nail polish strips/appliqués. China Glaze has entered the market and who better to have your first experience with than China Glaze?
I thought the fun peacock pattern of Shake Your Tail Feathers was too fabulous to pass up. There is certainly no way humanely possible I could have recreated this kind of nail art from scratch on myself!

The China Glaze Real Nail Polish Appliqués come with 16 Nail Appliqués of varying sizes, 1 wooden cuticle stick, and a 3 surface mini file. The included instructions are very detailed and I found application of the product very easy. I think I had expected it to be more difficult. I think these nail appliques are an excellent way to get a fun, detailed manicure in a flash.

The packages are one use only as the nail appliques are enclosed in a sealed pouch and once they are exposed to air they are only good for a limited period of time. My only complaint about these nail appliqués is that they didn’t seem to be the best fit for my nail size. I’m sure every brand is different so there is probably a great fit out there for everyone.
The included instructions mentioned stretching the nail appliqué out over your nail. I would recommend  only doing so gently. I think I went a little overboard when I stretched them out over the end of my nail because I ended up having them rebound a bit as you can see in the pics below.
Pretty darn cute huh! And it was so easy!

The new China Glaze Real Nail Polish Appliqués are available at NailPolishCanada.com.

Product sent for my consideration. All reviews are always my own honest and unbiased opinions.

Just put on asset of thesethis morning for the first time! I like them, but I don’t love them. Can’t believe I’m going to say this cause I’m not an OPI girl but OPI’s are still my favourite appliqués. Go figure. I posted pics of mine on twitter today.
