Rouge Bunny Rouge Forever Yours Long-Lasting Lip Pencil All Shades ~ Swatches, Photos, Review

Lip liners. They aren’t usually a product many of us beauty lovers spend a lot of time thinking about. Well, at least I never have. I don’t usually bother with them for personal use just out of sheer laziness but the necessity of them in my professional kit has led me to discover an unexpected love. The Rouge Bunny Rouge Forever Yours Long-Lasting Lip Pencils. Who new I could be so excited about a lip pencil?

Of course I have to share Rouge Bunny Rouge’s fairytale description of product!

Once upon a time, a shrouded scroll with a magnificent navigation map, traced by whimsical lines, was found in the Enchanted Garden.
Overwhelmed by its beauty, we captured the essence and softness of its everlasting magical colours in FOREVER YOURS… lip pencils. Their soft heart glides on as smoothly as a ship on the calmest of seas, to keep your lips supremely in view. You’ll treasure the incomparable staying power, allowing you fearlessly explore your thirst for new things – knowing that you look impeccable. Drink and be merry, kiss and be cherished. It’s so wear-resistant it’s almost as unstoppable as you. Go ahead and write your own navigation chart, you’ll be safely on course to sail off with whatever treasures you desire…

Advanced technology in this long-wearing pencil delivers a formula with an instant release of intense colour, smooth glide-on and a precise application. The synergic action of gellified systems, special polymers and waxes provides a most comfortable and semi-permanent colour. Once dry, the colour will last the whole day and is waterproof too!

The Rouge Bunny Rouge Long-Lasting Lip Pencils come in 6 shades:
  • Vasco – Cherry blossom powder pink – We recommend it for lighter skin types.
  • Esteban – Metallic, flesh-toned bronzed pink – Wonderful on honey-blonde, blonde and pale skin tones.
  • Amerigo – Pure matte, cool brown fawn – Ideal for darker skin tones.
  • Roald – Pure matte, pale mauve – Best suited for pale, bluish-toned complexions.
  • Leif – Metallic, copper-hued cocoa – For those with darker natural lip colour.
  • Marco – Pure matte, medium cool raspberry – For those with darker pink toned lips.

All the shades are lovely neutrals that work with the natural tone of your lips more than being designed to match particular lip shades. At least that is my feeling. The ones noted in the shade descriptions from Rouge Bunny Rouge as metallic are really more of a subtle shimmer. I find these a tad less creamy on application than the more matte shades.

I have very uneven pigmentation in my lips and should really use a lip liner every day to even things out. When working on a client when a result as close to perfection is the goal I wouldn’t dream of skipping the use of one of these. Not only are the shades gorgeous but they truly are Forever Yours. The long-lasting claim is accurate. They are darn near impossible to remove at times. They help increase the longevity of any lip product applied on top and are gorgeous under gloss.

Rouge Bunny Rouge is available in the US at BeautyHabit and internationally at Zuneta where I purchase mine.
Some of the products in this post were provided by the manufacturer for my consideration. All reviews are always my own honest and unbiased opinions.

harajukugirlfl it would honestly depend on what you are putting on top. If you are putting something really glossy on top it will break it down eventually and it will wear a bit less. Mind you the gloss will wear off and there will still be some of your lip liner lasting beyond that. Wearing them on their own they would last almost all day. Without makeup remover I rubbed my arm raw getting them off. Guess I should have just grabbed the remover!
With lipstick on top I have had them last hours upon hours even through drinking and nibbling. I usually only have to touch up a bit of lipstick on top after eating. The liner is still intact. Unless it’s something really greasy then I reapply.
Oh and by the way I apply these ALL OVER lips under lipsticks or gloss. Not just an outline.

Christa, out of curiosity, why do go with Zuneta over BeautyHabit? I haven’t purchased from either.

BooBooNinja I have always ordered from Zuneta long before it was available at BeautyHabit. I’m in Canada and the international shipping with Zuneta is quick and painless. Often stuff ships the next day! BeautyHabit appears to ship internationally but looks to be pretty complicated and slow.

I’m in Canada too. Have you ever had issues with high duty fees?
