NARS Vent Glace Eyeshadow Duo from the Fall 2012 Color Collection ~ Swatches, Photos, Review

NARS describes the shades of Vent Glace as platinum and silver smoke. To my eyes I see a satin finish silver with a touch of platinum and a platinum with subtle green tones.

I was a little concerned about Vent Glace being too frosty before I ordered it but was delighted to discover the shades have more of a satin finish. The eye brightening effect is achieved more from the light shades than their luminosity. I am very happy with the colours and they are quite unique to my collection. The eyeshadows swatched really well with a sponge tip applicator on my arm but found they needed a bit more building up on my eyes. I am going to play with some different bases to really bring these shades out against my fair skin. It is a very original pairing of shades and I’m really happy with the duo NARS has created as a cohesive look.

I purchased this online from NARS.

Gosh I love that darker, taup-ish shade. I really wish they had released it as a single…

I’ve been debating this duo. Your pictures actually remind me a little though of the Hourglass Suede palette that I recently reviewed so maybe I won’t need it after all. (Notice I said “maybe”!!) I need to go play with it.
