Thank you! I love seeing pale beauty bloggers post foundation swatches.
It’s interesting to see that all of these are the lightest shades yet they differ so much. I’m most surprised with the LMDB since I found the 2 too dark and the 1 a lot lighter.
Do you have a preference among these on how they match?
Revlon Colorstay 110 is a fantastic color for the super pale imo. It doesn’t have a crazy orange or pink undertone like some of the others. 150 buff is also good if 110 is too light. Sometimes I mix the two. I also have CoverFX E0, but I never use it. Just feels kinda heavy, and really brings out dry patches. But I didn’t buy the special brush they sell with it. Thanks for the swatches!
Thanks for the swatches. Which is your favorite for a go to everyday look?
You’re welcome Karen!
Krystle my favourites that I wear most regularly are the Face Atelier (which is for my kit but I keep stealing it), the MUFE F&B #38 which is probably my best match, the RBR, and the Chanel even though it is too dark.
Veronica the Revlon is super light for drugstore. It is too light for me with my freckles. I will have to check out Buff. I don’t wear the Cover FX. I got the Cover FX foundations for my kit but even with their brush haven’t found a way I’m happy with applying them.
Marcia the Shade 1 is quite dark. I love the finish though and it’s sheer so I still wear it often.
I’m about a Cover FX E0 and it’s nearly impossible to find a good match! That is a clever trick though /w freckles to go just a touch darker.
This is simply beautiful!! So so helpful as many of these foundations I had wondered about- I thought I was your “color”, but, at least from these photos, I am more pink than you- although I am the first to admit that photos can be difficult. Wow!! Thanks again- I just purchased some drugstore brands (Maybelline Age Rewind, Loreal Lumi, and Maybelline Fit Me- the results are not bad, not bad at all- for the nice price point). xoxo Beth in Pgh
Wow, this is fantastic! It’s so hard to find foundation shades if you’re pale! Do you find the LMdB Classic Flawless Foundation in 2 to be on the dark end on your face? I’m trying to work out whether it’ll be too dark for me. I can wear the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, but it’s on the dark side. The LMdB Peau Vierge in 1 is definitely too dark and yellow on me (despite the protestations of the SA).
Beth while being cool toned with quite a bit of pink in my face I do run fairly neutral. Isn’t it crazy that drugstore brands seem to be doing a better job of catering to fair skin than higher end brands?!
Kit the Shade 2 did work pretty well on me because of my freckles. I also had a sample of shade 1 but the container broke and it dried out. They are about the same depth of colour just shade 1 runs more yellow and 2 more pink. They both worked OK for me.
It’s because of the sheerness and the way it blends so well into the skin that I can pull off the PV. It is definitely too dark yet it still looks good!
