Annabelle TwistUp Retractable Lipstick Crayon in Divine ~ Photos, Swatches, Review

One of the items I was most interested in trying after attending the Beauty Unveiling event was the Annabelle TwistUp Lipstick Crayon. No sharpening and waste! The colour selection is lovely and they swatched with a gorgeous glossy finish. As soon as I saw them in Shoppers Drug Mart I picked one up. It was very hard to select just one shade but I didn’t want to go overboard ordering several until I knew I liked the formula. Well looks like I’ll be picking up more because I do indeed like it. A lot.
TwistUp Retractable Lipstick Crayon:
Annabelle reinvents the way we wear lipstick with a high-precision, ultrapractical lipstick crayon. Available in 12 stunning colours, TwistUp provides a hydrating formula that is enriched with rapeseed oil and Shea butter—ingredients widely-known for their restorative properties.

Divine is well pigmented and give a fairly opaque coverage with a nice glossy sheen. These are not very long wearing but they are very comfortable to wear and feel very moisturizing. It is so nice being able to skip lip liner and just line your lips with the tip of the crayon and then lay more flat to apply to the rest of your lips.

I swatched all of the shades when I purchased Divine. Most of the shades are well pigmented. Mai Tai is sheer which is a bonus because while I was attracted to the bright intense coral red I didn’t think I could pull it off. The sheer effect of this shade when swatched ended up putting it to the top of my list.

Absolute, Bubble, Divine, Mai Tai, Mimosa, Tease, Kiss, Flirtini, Fizz, Kinky Pinky, Breeze, Royale

I have been in love with chubby crayons lately, as I’m sure everyone else is. I really like the self-sharpening aspect though. This looks like something I would jump on at the store. It just stinks that it’s not very long lasting.

Funny, I just saw something about these in my SDM mailer and was curious. Some of the colours do look fun, although since everything tends to wear off faster on me than it does on everyone else, I have visions of these fading by the time I’d finished applying them…

Wow–Divine is simply stunning on you! I love it! I’ve read about these lip pencils before–so wish we had them here in the U.S!
