Chanel Lumiere d’Artifices Beiges Illuminating Powder Applied as Subtle Bronzer on Fair Skin

I mentioned in my review of the Chanel Lumiere d’Artifices Beiges Illuminating Powder from the Les Essentials de Chanel Fall/Autumn 2012 collection that I was enjoying using it as a subtle bronzer on my fair skin. I thought I would share some pics of it for you so you could see it being used in this manner on my light, cool skin. I have heard some mention of other cool toned Chanel fans finding it swatched too peachy and warm on their skin. I do find in heavier swatches it is warm but applied lightly on the face with a brush it looks quite natural on my skin. It has a lovely satin finish that gives me a subtle, healthy glow.

In the following pics I am only wearing the Lumiere d’Artifices Beiges and no blush. To complete the look I added some blush after these photos were taken.

I am wearing the Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Caprice in this look as well. Review to come soon.

Oh wow, this makes a beautiful difference on you! With my skin tone it’ll probably be more like a highlighter than anything else. I’m quite impressed with my Sable Rose, so I would love to look into this when it rolls out here!

OK, I never would have thought of this, but it makes sense! I couldn’t see buying this as a highlighter, since I already have two other Chanel highlighters (that I never use, but mostly gloat over.) And I bought the Rose Sable bronzer from the Summer 2012 collection, but haven’t been wearing it because it seems too dark. Like you, I’m super pale. Maybe this highlighter will do the trick. (But my wallet hates you!)

  3. This looks amazing on you Christa! But I have so many bronzers already. And that gloss on you-it’s perfect! I thin I need to order now. Did you get Complice eyeshadow too?

  4. Your Chanel collections is making me jealous. The lips look great!

  5. I had been wondering how this might look applied. It looks very natural & makes you look sunkissed. Your eyeshadow is lovely as well!

That really looks lovely, much more natural looking than I was expecting, so perhaps I do need it, your such an enticer ;) x

  7. Thanks for the comments everyone! Sorry I’m tempting everyone! :-P
Tracy I didn’t even pay any attention to the Complice eyeshadow. It didn’t really grab me. Have you played with it?
