Hourglass Visionaire Eye Shadow Duo in Dune ~ Swatches, Photos, Review

I have already shared with you my love for the Hourglass Visionaire Eye Shadow Duos in Gypsy and Exhibition and my love of the formula has only grown further with the addition of Dune to my collection.

From Zuneta.com:

Visionaire pairs two silky shades of eye shadow in a mini 360° swivel compact with a large mirror. The shades have been designed to be worn together or on their own. Each shade may be applied wet or dry to achieve desired intensity. They wear well and last all day.The Hourglass eyeshadows have been formulated without sulphates, fragrance or phthalates. The compacts come with a luxurious brush applicator, making application easy.

Dune includes a luminous gold beige and a slightly blue toned khaki green with gold shimmer. You may be wondering what the heck I mean by blue toned khaki. Well the base shade is a very darkened green with a very slight teal tone while the addition of gold shimmer creates the overall khaki effect. My cool skin seemed to slightly amplify the very subtle blue tones in the shade.
The formula of these shades is as exceptional as I’ve come to expect from Hourglass. Pigmented, smooth, and almost creamy in feel. The khaki shade has a slightly more sheer base but with this dark a colour that aspect is appreciated.

Hourglass is available at Zuneta, Sephora, and eBeauty.ca.

This is a really lovely-looking duo. I have yet to be disappointed by them, so I think this one will have to go on my list.

That’s really lovely on you. I can see what you mean by the blue tine in the khaki (when it is on you). I really like that. Kind of unusual.

I love the duo and have reviewed it but it’s so dark on me that I have to only wear it at night. The green side clings to my eyes.
    Hourglass pigmentation is amazing though.

Wow–it never ceases to amaze me how different one eyeshadow can look on different skin tones. I NEVER would have described the dark olive shade this way. In fact, before I saw the photos of it on your eyes I was thinking “teal?? Are you serious?” but lo and behold you’re right–on your eyes, I definitely see a hint of teal. On my eyes, it really looks like a blackened-olive. Either way, its pretty!
