What’s Inside My May 2012 Topbox? Fabulousness!

I’m very happy with my May 2012 Topbox. I’m excited to have finally received a Deborah Lippmann polish since I missed the first one. I also was thing of getting the Cover FX ClearPrep FX for my kit so receiving this generous sample is fabulous. I haven’t tried the brush out yet but it feels very soft and looks to be nice quality. There is also an offer for members to get a deal on their brush set. I’m always eager to try new eye creams so looking forward to seeing what results I see with the Orlane cream.

  • Deborah Lippmann Whatever Lola Wants nail lacquer Full size product. Retail $20
  • Cover FX ClearPrep FX Primer 7ml sample. 30ml retails for $39
  • Orlane Anagenese 25+ First Time-Fighting Care Eye Contour 2 ml sample. 15ml retails for $75
  • Expressions Bronzing Powder Brush Full size product. Retail $25

Nice job Topbox.ca!!

This is a great Topbox, and worth the $10 + S&H. It’s my last one for now as I’m trying to cut back and opted to stay with Glossybox. I’m still debating on cancelling that subscription too and using the money to purchase a couple high quality items. (RBR, anyone?)

Anyway, do you know what the brush is made of?

  2. I’m not sure what the brush is made of. It doesn’t say and I couldn’t find a website.

I have thought about cancelling Glymm and Topbox. I haven’t tried Glossybox yet!

Hi PerilouslyPale! This is Paulina from Topbox, and just wanted to say thank you for review of this month’s box. We’re glad you’re enjoying it, and hope that you continue to be a member :)

Nuts! Blogger ate my comment :(

    Briefly/less eloquent version:

I debated for a while on Topbox vs Glossybox. I went with Glossybox because they impressed me more — e.g., more full-sized items. It is slightly more expensive, but the $15 includes S&H and Glossybox promises more items (minimum of 5 luxury samples and sometimes a 6th). Glossy is a little heavier on the skin/hair care side like all the beauty boxes. However, I’ve been happy with their cosmetics, which are mostly full size and work well for me. I’ve definitely gotten my moneys worth with Glossybox.

If you’re at all interested in trying Glossybox, feel free to use my referral link (http://goo.gl/Y9My8) plus a 10% off code (e.g., GLOSSY8, GLOSSY12, GLOSSY26…) for your first box. Please keep in mind that I do earn “Glossydots” for anyone who signs up through my link. Oh yeah, that’s another bonus with Glossybox — you also earn “dots” for reviewing the items you received, and “dots” can be redeemed for free Glossyboxes.

Finally, I emailed Topbox about the brush. I’ll let you know what it’s made of when they respond.

Hi Christa, I emailed Topbox and they said the brush is made of synthetic hair. :)

  6. Thanks BooBooNinja. I would have almost thought it was natural if I’d have guessed so I’m glad you asked them. I’ve yet to wash it or use it but is seems very soft.

  7. BooBooNinja says:

    No problem :)
I thought it was natural too!
ps sorry about the other post — I didn’t realise until after the fact it might be construed as “soliciting”. That wasn’t my intention. I simply wanted to share with you my decision-making process with beauty boxes. Cheers!

  8. LOL!! No problem. I never even thought of that. Not
    Coming from you!
