Le Metier de Beaute Blush Kit Kaleidoscope – Swatches, Pics, Review

I’m sure you all know how much I adore Le Metier de Beaute products. They have exceptional products and I expect only the best from them. Well, I never thought it could be possible but this Blush Kit Kaleidoscope ($95) has exceed my expectations. It has completely and utterly blown me away. The colours, the texture, the pigmentation. EXCEPTIONAL. If you have never tried Le Metier de Beaute products before then THIS is what you should try first. If you are a die hard fan as I am and don’t have this already…what the heck is wrong with you? Get on it!
From Le Metier de Beaute:
What makes you blush?

For years, scientists have been perplexed by why our body responds by blushing when we have a crush, are the center of attention, etc., and why the hues of blushing can be so varied.  Even Charles Darwin struggled to explain blushing, describing it as “the most peculiar and the most human of expressions.”
It’s clear blushing is personal.  Every woman’s flush is a unique shade all her own.  With that in mind, Le Métier de Beauté introduces the Kaleidoscope Blush Kit.  We’ve heard of a “lipstick wardrobe,” think of this as one for the cheeks.
A Blush of Color Theory
“When we blush it’s not one shade; it’s a prismatic multitude of color.  To express how you feel or the feeling you want to evoke, you need to layer color for that perfect flush,” says Le Métier de Beauté’s Director of Color Mikey Castillo. “In order to create dimension, there must be at least two pigments that are contrasting in tone or texture.  For instance, matte with sheen, satin with matte, pink with coral, or mauve with bronze. Layering multiple shades eliminates flatness while bring vitality to the skin- this is true of colorwhether it is on the eyes, lips, or cheeks.”
The Blush Kaleidoscope contains a selection of these contrasting shades and textures, giving the wearer infinite possibilities.
The Shades
“The whole delight of a blush collection is to enable a woman to create a multitude of looks by blending two or more of the multiple hues in the Blush Kaleidoscope,” says Mr. Castillo.     The beautiful and balanced combination of the shades creates an effortless, feminine glow. Blend the matte shades for day, and transition to evening with a sensuous, shimmery layer.  The four-in-one stacked kitincludes a satin peach, a matte rose pink, a shimmery highlighter and a cool pink. Each shade is finely-milled for adjustable coverage, transparency andintensity. The shine-absorbing, oil-free formula is safe for all skin types including sensitive skin.

The shades include:
A deep matte peach.
A matte rose pink.
A shimmering peach gold. This is actually more pigmented than I expected. A highlighter on deeper skin tones but a gorgeous blush on us fair skinned gals.
A shimmering cool medium pink.
Every shade is silky smooth and rich in feel and pigment. The two matte shades are in no way chalky. The are incredible. The shimmer shades are gorgeously refined.
Tiers from top to bottom with all four layered on far right.
All four layered, 1 and 3, 2 and 4, 1 and 4, 2 and 3
Tiers from top to bottom, all four layered, 1 and 3, 2 and 4, 1 and 4, 2 and 3
This is Le Metier de Beaute at it’s best. The greatest part is that this blush kit (a re-release of the Troy Neiman Marcus counter exclusive) is now part of the PERMANENT collection. I wouldn’t delay on missing out on this beauty for a second though. The possibilities are endless. I only showed you a few of the layering options and each shade on it’s own is gorgeous.
I ordered mine from Neiman Marcus. It will also be available at Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

So very beautiful. I am new to your blog and really want to compliment you on this site: it’s gorgeous and I am so glad I found you!! I have never tried LeMdeB; I’ve surely heard nothing but superlative things about this line. I haven’t been necessarily daunted by price point so much as shades available in these kaleidoscopes … haven’t beckoned me as yet. xoxo Beth in Pgh 😉
