Guerlain by Emilio Pucci Terra Azzurra Ecrin 4 Couleurs Capri for Summer 2012 – Swatches, Pics, Review

Usually the summer collections are the  ones I have the easiest time passing on as all the bronzers and bronzed goddess looks just don’t translate to my fair, cool skin. Well Summer 2012 is causing me quite the turmoil. There are so many beautiful products I’m tempted to try. Guerlain, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, I could go on. Guerlain was one that had me captivated early on. The beautiful Pucci packaging and Oh those pretty blue ballz! I ended up restraining myself and only investing in the Guerlain by Emilio Pucci Ecrin 4 Couleurs in Capri from the Guerlain Terra Azzurra Summer Collection so far. I am of course doubting my selection already by questioning orange and warm pink to wear on my skin tone but it was just so darn pretty I couldn’t resist!
The special Emilio Pucci “touch” is reflected in the smokey bronze compact and Winter Capri print on the inside of the box. I wish they had found a way to incorporate that in a more evident way!
The shades include an ivory white with subtle pink/green iridescent sparkle (wish I could have captured that in the pics), bright warm pink with a satin finish, softly shimmering orange leaning coral, and a dark charcoal brown with subtle sparkle. The shades are very pigmented and smooth. Really nice quality. The ivory shade is a bit more sheer but that is just it’s nature, not a flaw.
Swatches are all natural light. Some more indirect while others in more direct sunlight.
I ordered this from Neiman Marcus but you can find it anywhere Guerlain is sold including Bergdorf GoodmanSephoraNordstrom, Bloomingdales, Saks, Holt Renfrew, and The Bay.

I ended up buying the lighter of the Chanel bronzers for this season – I’m so pale that I am not interested in most bronzers, but they tried this one on me in the store before I bought it and it’s really natural looking. I know you are more pink-toned than I am, but give it a try in the store, there is enough pink in it that it might work.

That pink would be hard to wear on my eyes. I’ll be interested in your take on it.

Did You find that the white shade had any fall-out? I’m a little wary after switching it in the store, but the colors are just SO gorgeous.

I saw this palette today, it is gorgeous, but I did not pick it up. Instead, I got the Meteorites powder, bronzer/blush, and the kohl kajal eyeliner. Can’t wait to wear everything!

Looking forward to your look; I’m still debating on whether or not I’ll pick this up, but Lord knows I want to! I wound up with the bronzer/blusher, and I so love it (my skin tone is obviously darker than yours, so I’m able to pull it off – but only with a light hand). There are just so many drop-dead gorgeous products launched for summer that my list is as long as my arm now!

Definitely plan on picking this one up. I just love it as a “summer sunset” kind of look. Thanks for enabling me!

LOVE THIS!!! But I already have so much orange, I don’t know if I can justify buying it. That being said, I’m headed to Nordstrom today, so my mind may be changed…
