I have been a bit obsessed lately with the Yves Saint Laurent Summer 2012 Collection. I admit to stalking Neiman Marcus online for a week now constantly refreshing their Beauty New Arrivals Page hoping to see the collection appear. After reading reviews on Glitter Geek and Beautezine I know I NEED the Yves Saint Laurent Terre Saharienne Collector in Nº 2 Sunkissed Bronzer. It looks perfect for fair, cool skin. I am also drooling over the glosses in the collection. I know I probably don’t need any more sparkly lipstick topper glosses but the multi tonal shimmer in these shades is making me quiver. I’m also intrigued but the Pure Chromatics Eyeshadow Palettes. I’ve yet to try any YSL eyeshadows at all and these colour combinations look gorgeous. I’m especially interested in #09 Stone. Believe it or not I am seriously laking in the taupe department! Now another product I haven’t seen discussed much from this collection are the Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks. I saw swatches on Rouge Deluxe and they look really pretty. I have one of the Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks in Rose Stiletto and I really enjoy the formula. I haven’t usually paid much attention to YSL in the past but lately they have been impressing me so much I can’t help but think of them daily. Sad I know. But with products like the incredible new Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stains they deserve the attention!
Now onto Guerlain. The Terra Azzurra by Emilio Pucci for Summer 2012 is causing me many a sleepless night. That packaging is to die for and, well, those teal ballz are going to be the death of me. I think I’ve managed to talk myself out of the blush/bronzer palette since it will likely be too warm and orange toned for my skin but I cannot stop thinking about those Meteorites Perles d’Azur. I had the new formulation regular line ones in Teint Rose and Teint Beige and ended up swapping them away. I just wasn’t using them and I didn’t like the tiny sparkles left on my face. I don’t mind glow and sheen from very refined shimmer on my face but I don’t care for the “flatter” type sparkle no matter how small. I ended up keeping my Perles d’Or from Holiday 2010 just because they were “special ballz” but they are more glittery than the rest of them. Now since my tolerance for shimmer on my face has improved I am SO tempted to give these a shot. The colour combination of the ballz is perfect for me. Beauty Reflections, Fruity Lashes, and Messy Wands have done an excellent job of swaying me. Do we think I can hold out? The gorgeous Tracy of Beauty Reflections also has me considering theÉcrin 4 Couleurs Eye Shadow Palette in Capri. The pink and coral shades are calling my name. I keep trying to say to myself that I don’t need it because who needs another palette with an ivory and brown…right? *sigh*
