Rouge Bunny Rouge Colour Burst Lipstick in Nothing Unknown – Swatches, Pics, Review

I finally purchased one of the Rouge Bunny Rouge Colour Burst Hues of Enchantment lipsticks. I have a few of the Succulence of Dew formula but had yet to try the Colour Burst range. They are just as fabulous. Unfortunately this means my Rouge Bunny Rouge lipstick wish list has now more than doubled! The shade I selected to try first is Nothing Unknown after seeing it featured in one of Makeup Never Sleeps videos. She actually has it for sale on her blog sale right now so check it out.
One of the many great things about Rouge Bunny Rouge products is the quality of ingredients. Their cosmetics are like colourful skincare.

The fiercely beautiful royal dragonflies from the Enchanted Garden inspired us to concoct this glorious beam of a lipstick for you. Their buzzing intensity has been poured into the most vividly delectable hues imaginable, to make your lips appear instantly fuller, and bewitchingly luminous. Enough to satisfy even your strongest colour cravings.
The exact texture for every one of these wearable, yet intensely powerful and pigment-dense shades has been carefully chosen so that each can have its most fitting expression. Whichever you choose, you’ll be sure to stand out like a bird of paradise amongst a field of sparrows. Go ahead and cast a boldly magical spell! The easy glide, hydrating formulas ensure superb comfort and softness. Enriched with Vitamin E, to nourish and protect from dryness and ageing. With three separate formulas, depending on the texture, coverage and finish, all are suffused with botanicals such as Orchid Flower Extract, Meadowfoam, Manoi Butter or Inca Inchi Oil.

Nothing Unknown is described as:

Bestselling cool nude-beige base with an ash-mauve opalescence – Every woman should have this in her lipstick wardrobe.

I love this shade. I love that it is indeed a cool  nude rather than leaning warm as most do. The pictures don’t do an adequate job of showcasing the lovely cool pink opalescent finish of this lipstick. It makes it a very unique nude lipstick. Depending on the lighting and angle your lips can at one moment be a lovely demure nude and the next glowing with a cool pearly sheen.
You can see in this lip swatch that on the left side you see the nude shade and on the right side with more direct light the opalescence alters the shade to a cooler pink mauve.
I purchased this from Zuneta who ships internationally.

That looks so beautiful on you, and I bet Tracy rocks it, too, but my lips just screamed at the nudeness. ;D

Great formula, though, isn’t it? I’ll stick with Word of Mouth for now!

The description of this one set my heart a-flutter. So glad to know it lives up to the billing. (I completely understand about the difficulty of photography complex colours.) It’s definitely on my must-have list now. Reading this blog is bad for my wallet!!
