Face of the Day and an Apology

First off I must apologize for the lack of posting lately. My little sister had her first baby a couple of weeks ago and I have been busier than usual travelling there as much as I can to help out with her beautiful girl. Add in more social activity in the past couple weeks than I’ve had in ages and I’ve been far too distracted. Not that this is really an excuse. I’ve have still had time I could have dedicated to getting some reviews done but I’ve been happily vegging when I had the opportunity instead. This coming week is March break so I will have my daughter home from school with me so I will likely still be struggling to produce as much material for you as I should but I promise to try! I will get back to posting almost daily soon!
Here is a quick FOTD I did for a little “date night” Friday night. I really wanted a more navy eyeshadow to use and have realized that I don’t own any true navy eyeshadows. I would love to hear from you about what your favourite navy eyeshadows are please!

Face:
Cover FX Skin Prep FX primer
Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Foundation in Porcelain
Rouge Bunny Rouge Luminous Skin Wand in Orionis
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder
Fresh Face Lustre in Fair Isle (t-zone only)
Le Metier de Beaute Creme Fresh Tint in Ginger Lily
Chanel Joues Contraste Rose Temptation
Edward Bess All Over Seduction in Sunlight

Eyes:
Fyrinnae Book of the Dead on the lid, Damn Paladins in the Crease, Catrina Cabaret on other v into crease and used wet to line upper lash line, Moon Child on inner corner and brow bone (didn’t realize this was so pink. Oops)
Rouge Bunny Rouge Raven Glaze Lacquer liner to line upper waterline
Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara in Black

Lips:
Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick in Muse

These pics were all taken with flash since it was already dark out when I did this look. When I wet Catrina Cabaret for the liner it did go oddly lighter rather than darker. The flash seemed to really set this off. That contrast was not as evident in real life. I really need to find some navy eyeshadows. It is my new mission!

  2. You have such gorgeous FOTDs!! :)

I love Sugar Plum from LMdB Splendid Frost and also a navy one from Anna Sui (similar to sugar plum) :) Those are my two favourites!

Please don’t apologize for letting life take you away from blogging. There is nothing more sweet and enriching than having a baby come into your life ;)

You look lovely, and I am envious of your red hair. I blame Molly Ringwald for my love of red hair. :)

  12. I don’t know if you would classify it as “navy” but my favorite deep blue eyeshadow is Prussian by MAC. It’s an awesome matte!
