Rouge Bunny Rouge Raven Glaze Lacquer Eyeliner – Swatches and Review

Courtesy of RougeBunnyRouge.com
I ordered Rouge Bunny Rouge Raven Glaze Lacquer Eyeliner a few months ago when my Le Metier de Beaute Precision Liquid Liner started to run out. I have been using it almost everyday since.
From Zuneta:

As the sun sets over the Enchanted Garden, the Ravens take to the skies. They soar high above the treetops in a long formation, straight as an arrow, heralding the end of the day and the start of the mischief of the night. As the shimmering sun dips slowly below the horizon, and its rays of sparkling light begin to gently fade, there is just the briefest of moments before full darkness descends when the final rays, with a dazzling shine, illuminate the birds flying on their twilight path. A magical effect is created, just for a fleeting instant, as the majestic birds, black as coal, are illuminated by this moment of brightness, and the column glows with an enchanting mixture of shiny luminosity and jet black darkness; an ethereal thread gleaming across the sky. We were inspired by this extraordinary sight to bring you Raven Glaze, which will recreate the glossy blackness of the raven column not for just a second but all day long.
Raven Glaze – a reinvention of the beloved classic of all times – shows off the effect of a seamlessly lucent line, for a unique interpretation of light and dark. A high percentage of carbon black pigments guarantees the most intense black, imparting a deep and lustrous finish that lasts throughout the day with extreme colour intensity. Infused with soothing Chamomile Flower Water, RBR’s Lacquer Eyeliner protects the delicate eye area against irritation and inflammation.
RBR’s Eyeliner pen is a convenient, professional tool with a versatile tip applicator which will remind you of the finely structured tips of sumi bamboo brushes from Japanese brush painting. Use the tip of the calligraphy brush to create easily the finest line imaginable or the side of the brush for an expressive eyelid line. The even flow of ink and the instant release of deep colour pigments allow you incredible precision and control when lining your eyes. Wickedly noticeable but sophisticated; challenge the world around you with your glamorous gaze.

Raven Glaze is a dark, intense black that has a bit of a sheen. I love that it isn’t a flat black but doesn’t have that plasticy look (and feel) that some glossier eyeliners have. This glides on evenly and the somewhat firm applicator allows you to use the tip for a very fine line or lay the applicator more flat for a thicker line. It is the same felt tip type applicator as the Le Metier de Beaute Precision Liquid liner but it is firmer. When I tightline my upper lashes it lasts all day which continues to boggle my mind as this product does not claim to be waterproof. This product is now a staple for me and I will continue to repurchase.
I bought this from Zuneta.com.

I meant to include a pic after a full day and forgot to ever take one. Maybe I will tomorrow and add it! It lasts for me anyways!

Very nice! I like the slight sheen and the fact that it appears very opaque. So many eyeliner pens require 2-3 passes (at least on me) before becoming opaque, by which time they begin to look gloppy and heavy. I’ve even had some peel off my eyelids in places where the application has gone on unevenly! Yuck.

As always, you’ve picked a winner. I really, really need to try this line.

Shannon you would love it! It is opaque. You won’t need multiple passes and it will NOT peel. That’s why I mentioned it’s got sheen without the plasticy feel of other liners. It goes on like ink. It really is exceptional!
