Rouge Bunny Rouge Fire Drops Loose Glitter Pigments – Touch of Cashmere and Caress of Mink – Review & Swatches

I first mentioned the new shades of Rouge Bunny Rouge Fire Drops Loose Glitter Pigments in this post. Rouge Bunny Rouge was kind enough to send me Caress of Mink and a sample of Embrace of Cashmere to share with you! Here is a recap of the initial info I shared with you:
Caress of Mink

Caress of Mink: Scintillating medium taupe brown with pewter-plum highlights.

Embrace of Cashmere

Embrace of Cashmere: Scintillating light gold in champagne.

By day, deep inside the Enchanted Garden‘s densest forest, by day the vast Agni Tree melts quietly into the sprawling greenery. But as dusk descends, Sparkling Fireflies teem around its warming  branches. For they know the secret thrill of the Agni Tree, and their delirious dance is a harbinger of the joyous night fireworks to come. The Agni Tree‘s roots plunge to the depths of the earth, where they are nourished by molten lava. Each night, the magma rushes from the ground and pulses through the branches, until the crowning blossoms explode in a shower of vibrant molten fire drops, gleaming in every colour of the spectrum. The darting fireflies, smitten with the energy of these molten bubbles of joy, infuse their wings with the thrill; never knowing which hue will appear each evening. By dawn, these swift, uncurling flames of primeval fire dry into an exquisite concentrate, used to infuse with bliss the Enchanted Garden‘s various festivities. We were inspired to recreate their zingy pigments for you as the Fire Drops range. Adorning yourself with this fiery lava dust will gift you with the playful mischief of a fluttering firefly and the intense brightness of the blossoms‘ luminescent shades. The formula contains a super high percentage of pearl, which will grant your eyes a marvellous shine and luminosity but with a weightless feel. We added Sodium PCA, a natural moisturiser that maintains the water balance of the skin, makes the texture soft and elastic and the application creamy and easy. A sponge-tipped wand enclosed in a practical bottle will safely keep the pigment inside and let it out only when you want it.

They are even better than I imagined. I was always a little gun shy about trying out Fire Drops as I feared they would be too glittery for me but they aren’t glittery at all. They are beautiful, shimmery shades that are so creamy and blendable it is hard to believe they are a loose shadow.
I love the applicator. Loose pigment without the mess! You can even lay it on it’s side. You pull out the wand and the perfect amount of product is waiting for you on the sponge tip.
I don’t think these swatch pictures do the shades any justice. They are stunning. I have wore them 3 days in a row for a neutral eye that has that extra something special. I know for most (including myself) the natural draw is to Caress of Mink but DO NOT underestimate Embrace of Cashmere. I think it is actually my favourite of the two. It is a gorgeous, dimensional shade.
This photo was taken with flash so it doesn’t show off the lovely shimmer and dimension but it give an idea of how effortlessly these shades blend together. I HIGHLY recommend trying these out.

So many of you sound like I was when I first saw the info on the new shades…more interested in Caress of Mink. Don’t overlook Embrace of Cashmere. It is so beautiful in person. It may actually be my favourite of the two!

That combination of colors is absolute perfection both on its own and on you! Dammit I wish I had taken advantage of RBR sale at zuneta. Maybe I should ask Santa for the Mink one. I’m really glad to know they aren’t a sparklefest–it’s the only reason I didn’t bite when I saw the promo.
