Rouge Bunny Rouge Sea of Tranquility Highlighting Liquid – Swatches and Review

Seas of Illumination Highlighting Liquid in Sea of Tranquility is described as Palest milky opalescence, with super fine pink, white and gold pearls, luminous effect – Perfect for enlivening tired looking skin and all skin tones. This is my first real experiment with a liquid highlighter and although I think my application skills could use some work, overall I’m very impressed.
From the Rouge Bunny Rouge website:
At sunset in the Enchanted Garden, you can fleetingly glimpse the mermaids dancing in the gently lapping waves of the Grand Moon Seas.  Evening mists rise and tenderly caress them, lingering languorously on their bodies to gift their skin with uncommon youth and beauty.

We were inspired by this scene to bring you this dream-in-a-bottle, so that you can have your very own transformation. The moisturising surge of liquid pearls will dance whispers on your skin till dawn. Be as playful as the magical being that you are… you’ll still look as sublimely refined and urbanely elegant as the Moon itself. The tiny reflective particles will illuminate you anywhere you choose, with  sinfully quivering effect to quietly showcase your beauty. Bring fine-spun silver thrills by night or by day – to eyes, brows, temples, shoulders… No one can eclipse you, Moon Mermaid.

This multipurpose water-based fluid blends easily with moisturiser, or with foundation, to customise the look – to yours alone. Create an inside-out illumination effect and blend it to a thin, refined wash of pearls. Light fragrance of Cucumber with a touch of Peach Flower will add to your application pleasure. A quartet of shades with Melissa extract to soothe, and Vitamin E to guard against ageing. The highlighting liquid can be used alone or over moisturiser and as a highlighter, over foundation, too.

I find the finish to be truly lovely. Even just looking at it in the bottle it’s stunning. I wish I could have captured it in the picture better. I have every intention of picking up Sea of Nectar next so that I have one to reach for when I’m wearing a warmer look.

It does look beautiful. I find a lot of highlighters are too shimmery/frosty, but this one looks really delicate and glowy. The packaging is gorgeous too!

These are gorgeous but I know I won’t use it enough to justify the high cost. Sigh!

That is so beautiful, and quite subtle. I guess it’s because you’re so fair, it practically works as a second skin for you. Love it. How much darker is Sea of Nectar?

Zuzu Sea of Nectar is quite a bit darker but is supposed to still work nicely on fair skin. Best Things in Beauty has great comparison swatches here:

It looks so pretty on you, I have Sea of Tranquility and Sea Of Showers and love them both. I might get the white one next, I really hope they bring out some more shades x
