The swatch to the far right is the taupe layered over the blackened blue shade. The result is beautiful but not enough to make me forget the poor blending and application of these shadows.

Love Dogon – the taupe is so perfect on me, I may have to get a backup! I hope you love it too
Sorry to hear that this one didn’t work out for you. I love mine, but I have a real romance going with NARS and their duos anyway.
I’m not a fan of chalky eyeshadows either! But the colors do look very pretty together in that duo.
I bought it because blended together it created a beautiful shade. Didn’t actually put it on myself yet, though!
Thanks for the review- I think I can pass on this one. xx
Aw, I love Dogon so much, I feel really sad that this didn’t work out for you. Have you tried switching up brushes? I use my Bobbi Brown which is soft and fluffy. Or perhaps a different shadow base?
Dovey I did try a couple different brushes as switching to a fluffy brush is how I achieved the look on the third day I was happy with. I just don’t think it should be necessary to put so much effort into making something look good. I’m gotten used to incredible quality in products that are a pleasure to work with. I will keep playing though. I know Dogon has it’s fans so their must be a reason
Thank you very much for your review! The taupe really looks quite sheer, still, I’m looking forward to seeing your FOTD post with these colours. x
I’ve recently become enraptured with the taupe shade in this duo. I’ve never had a chance to swatch either shade so I’ve been relying on reviews. I had read that the dark shade was patchy but nothing bad about the taupe shade.
I’m still tempted though… let me know if you ever decide to sell this in a blog sale. (If you still have it.)
