Rouge Bunny Rouge Long-Lasting Eye Shadow in Bejewelled Skylark – Swatches & Review

Rouge Bunny Rouge Long-Lasting Eye Shadow – When Birds are Singing in Bejewelled Skylark is described as rich, iridescent chocolate-brown with copper reflections. I couldn’t have described it better myself. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a cosmetics brand that does a better job of accurately describing their shades than Rouge Bunny Rouge. It is so incredibly appreciated by me as an online shoppers and I wish more companies could describe their shades as truly as they do. Here is the description from the Zuneta website of these eye shadows:

The firefly festival is eagerly awaited all year in the Enchanted Garden. For then on this very special day, the best voices of the bird world feed on these tiny fireworks that embellish their voices and then gather to perform a single concert together. Their jubilant musical notes are inscribed in a syrup of figs and milk and preserved in tiny pots to be enjoyed the year round.

Like this golden froth of musical syrup, ‘When Birds are Singing…’ Eye Shadows are a time defying exotic enigma. This is plumage to adorn you in shades as deliciously mellow as soft silence that flows, or as brilliantly potent as jewelled notes. So addictive are these morsels that you’ll be causing your own kaleidoscopic ripples every time you wear them.

Discover a new powder Eye Shadow with an astonishing lightweight, creamy touch and unprecedented adherence. This formula creates pure dynamic iridescence while it maintains second skin effect. It has extended eight-hour wear
that will stay perfect and look freshly applied all day. Orange-derived Flavonoid improves blood microcirculation, enhances luminosity and serves as a free radical scavenger.
Does that not make you want to just buy every shade this instant! If only a touch of that beauty enters my life I will be one happy camper!! My experience so far really has been living up to these heavenly descriptions. I chose three shades for my first order and each one has a complex beauty that can’t be given justice by photographs alone. Bejewelled Skylark is very richly pigmented and blends beautifully. It appears to morph shades depending on what it is paired with as I described in the two Face of the Day posts I have made using this shade so far here and here.  The copper tones were brought out in the first look when used in combination with Abyssinian Catbird and then the following day when I applied it with Solstice Halcyon it was as if I were using a completely different eye shadow. It took on a cooler tone and worked they worked so well together.
Like all my other Rouge Bunny Rouge items this was purchased at Zuneta. They have FABULOUS customer service, an excellent website and ship internationally!
I wish I could have captured the (copper reflections) better in my pics. I mean these swatches still show how stunning this shadow is but believe it or not it is even better in person 😉
All photos were taken in natural light.

This color is my favorite so far. I want the same shadows you mentioned and my skin tone is completely different. Definitely a testament to how versatile the colors and shadows are!

I never would have contemplated a copper eyeshadow, but now I am having second thoughts and am adding this one to my wish list. Great swatches!

BTW, your first link is broken. It goes to, not to your EOTD.

It really is a great shade. I think because it seems to morph depending on what you use it with it could work for most skin tones. I’m a rebel though and try everything LOL

Do you think the color has any red tones? That’s the only thing stopping me from buying it. Thanks!

Hi Ammie, I would hate to steer you wrong. I guess it depends on what you consider red tones. I certainly don’t consider it as having any? It is a warm deep brown that almost has some burgundy tones as well as copper.

Hi this looks lovely. Is there any shimmer to it? I can’t tell from the swatches but I know how hard it is to capture the complexity of some shadows. I want this color and have never seen it before you featured it!!!
